Hi Guys,

Quick question in regards to the payware locomotives that are scripted to consume diesel and engine sand. How does one replenish them?

Regards,
Jordan

read trainz manual for this that i can say
btw my question is what if lcoo go out of fuel will it stops? as i never see this thing implemented in trainz

this depends on how the fuel/sand consumption was implemented. for instance my locomotives will no longer give you the traction multiplier once sand is gone, and once fuel is gone the engine will not be able to move.

Thanks again Firefighterdan, I have an idea of how to set up an industry (mostly by trial and error/experimentation), I did find and print awhile ago a tutorial created by philskene for setting up MIN's and Lars/ProtoLars industries.

Southern1581 - Thanks for the words of encouragement. I guess that's what i get for still being a novice and asking questions in attempt to learn the in's and out's of things.

Sorry to bring this back up, but how would one do this if more than one type of loco is going to be used. For example the NS Dash 9 and the PVR GP9 Highhood. I can only seem to get it set to load only one of the loco's with diesel and engine sand. If I've missed something obvious I apologize and will go back to building.

In reality you're only going to top them off one at a time, just run over the industry with both units and you should have it done.

Wait a sec (I'm reading too fast as usual). Are you trying to load two at once, or just trying to get both loaded in general and only one will load in the consist?

Southern1581,

When I set up the industry track to produce diesel and engine sand for the locos, under the part where you select which vehicle to load it will only let me select the one loco. All I'm trying to do is set it up so that all of the locos scripted to consume diesel and engine sand will load up with the two if required. Again if its something simple i'm over looking or if its not possible i apologize.

Thanks Again,
Regards,
Jordan

Could be only 1 of the locos consumes fuel or you've run out of fuel at the industry/fuel point before the 2nd loco tanks up.

Or it may only load on locos that have the drivers assigned to it. Which could be a problem in a 9 engine lashup

It does that to determine load size. Then, as in the case of freight cars, the waybill can say needs 18 cars or whatever. All engines should fuel normally even though you selected just one.
Also, I see you have diesel fuel selected. make sure the loco doesn't require Loco Diesel Fuel which is a different commodity.
