I have some favorite 40' and 50' sg 2.4 boxcars updated to 2.7
I would like to replace the default 2.4 bogeys with better looking bogeys.
I think someone made high detailed bogeys.
What type of bogey fits what boxcar?
I know how to edit cfg to place bogeys

Gerry
example answer:This high detail bogey (KUID) fits a 40' boxcar.
This high detail bogey(KUID) fits a 50' boxcar.

Hi xcrossi,

You can use any bogey you please, and you can use the 'position' and 'orientation' tags to move the bogey around if it is not in the correct location. There are tutorials around but I unfortunately do not know their location.

Kieran.

Ah..thanks for positioning tip but I don't think ANY bogey would look right.

What he said, exactly.

I just don't get it. I know for a fact that just any bogey was not used.
Some how I just don't know how to make myself understood.

The CM v3.6 lists 4 different DL boxcar kuids 40', 50', 60' that won't download and something called US3 bogey.

You would have to edit the kuid numbers for the set you want to use, and replace them in either content manager via content creator plus, or edit the config.txt file to change those.

OK for a 40ft boxcar try Lilb's boxcars. You will need to have a user account with jointed rail.

For 50fters ry

As for getting the position right this might help.

Dont worry about downloading anything from the article. VMD does not offer the locos in the article as of now.
Just concentrate in the part about cloning and editing.

One last thing, make sure you have backed up anything you want to edit before you start. Just in case.

Its alright, I found out what I needed to know.
It actuality wasn't that complicated.
after finding the high detailed bogey looking most
like the one I wanted to replace it was just a matter of
substituting kuids.

Looks ok to me.
