removing kuid

I`ve downloaded cnr`s wellcars and need to remove the outdated tanktainers from the config files list of accepted products. I`m new to fixing missing dependencies so I just want to know if removing the kuid number is as simple as removing that line in the config file? I`d rather find out how to do it than mess it up doing a trial and error method.

You need to remove every reference to it, including the kuid table and conflicting load queues...

So do I have to go into edit in CCP as well and delete it from there as well as in the config file? I understand what I have to do but not really how to it.

Open the item for edit using Explorer. (Right mouse button click on the item, and choose edit in Explorer).

A Windows Explorer window will open up with the asset's files in it.

Edit the Config.txt using Notepad. (Double-clicking on it should open the .txt file with Notepad by default).

Save your config.

Close the Explorer window.

Recommit the asset. Highlight the item, and press CTRL-M.

I highly recommend working on a copy of the item so you'll have your customized version. This is done by cloning the object.

Hey thanks, works great! That was easier than I thought. So,I guess I just delete the original and use mine now. I just got one question, just out of curiousity, why clone it first, just incase I make a mistake I still have the original?

That seems to be a corona from one of Sporbust's locomotives. I'm not sure where to find it however.

It's used in just about everything Frank made - download a couple of locos from http://esporbust.com/trs-2006-locos.html and it will show up...
