Rectangles, not squares.

When I go into map view (1-baseboard layout, TRS2004, in either Driver or Surveyor) the baseboard has become a portrait-oriented rectangle instead of a square. Possibly it has always been like that and I've never noticed before.

Irrespective, can anyone tell me how to make map view a square (or even a landscape-oriented rectangle, which would fit nicely on my screen!)?

I had that problem with my old comp had to turn up the draw bar and detail sliders....

Dave =)

Not sure you're quite following.. :confused:

@ laldfordo, it's always been that way in map view. No idea why they designed it to show square baseboards as rectangles on the map but as far as I know it's hard-coded into TRS and there's nothing that can be done about it unfortunately :(

Ever since Trainz v1, it has been like that... however, each square is precisely that - a 720m by 720m square.

Rectangles

Thanks for the replies. I'll live with it.

I think it is pretty nifty the way a consist slows (in the map) as it goes from NS to EW and each vehicle shrinks in proportion, then grows again if the consist turns NS again.

Sideways

My graphics card lets me rotate everything by 90 degrees, which makes the rectangular map view fit nicely on the screen. Unfortunately XP doesn't like this for some reason and changes it back after 15 seconds. Anyone know a way round that?
