It would be easier to explain if I described a situation:

For example, I have replaced the trucks of Tanker Procor 60037 kuid:54760:15010 to one of my preference. If I were to reinstall this particular asset and commit again, would my little mod be reverted?

You could have cloned the asset, then modified only the clone, and let the original as it was.

Yes, I'll keep that in mind the second time round. Right now I have about fifty or so edits and I wish to undo them all.
