When my nephew was young, he loved the wood block trains in the program. He played that for hours. Now he is older, he still enjoys Trainz. To exclude any of the Thomas, MLP or any other "kiddie" themes on purpose would be detrimental. That is what kids enjoy and if it draws them to Trainz I feel its a plus. May build a lifetime fascination with trains in general as they grow. I have no need to have MLP in the game, if it is, I just wont use it. Simple as that. Just as I have no need for European models, I just dont use it. I would rather a kid play MLP in Trainz then a violent video game any day. If they want to discuss it on the forums, so be it. I just wont read those posts.
The fascinating thing about hobbies is they can be used to help the younger ones grow. We as a community should embrace that opportunity rather then exclude those interested in things we find childish.
