sad but it is true
my computer sucks
Mine doesn't like ANY speedtree... the ones I use are either the billboard style tree or JVCs 3D trees built-in.;)

Great looking route! Can't believe I just now stumbled on this thread.

I have a question about your videos. What software are you using to edit and compress the video files fraps creates? I have fraps and would like to try a couple videos of my Frisco High Line Route.

Its an OCZ Vertex 2, 60 GB, Sata 2.

I had trainz plus a couple other games on it originally, until one day Trainz just went bonkers and tried filling up the entire drive with random giant "backup files". After that day i deleted everyone else off the drive but TRS2012...not like i have much time to play anything else until i get this route done anyway...

I use Sony Vegas 10. I still only know about 20% of the features, but i'm hoping to get some highly-qualified assistance in the near future ;).

Thanks. I think you said you upgraded to a solid state drive and saw big performance increases. Did I understand the correctly?

Yes, but be aware it won't necessarily raise your framerates. What it will do is eliminate any hitching or stuttering as Trainz loads news objects.

Before, i could always tell when i was coming into a town or another highly detailed area because Trainz would stutter as it loaded all the new buildings. Now, i can fly around in Surveyor as fast as i want with the mouse, and it doesn't skip a beat. It's almost as if you have your entire Trainz program loaded into your computers RAM :).

Well worth it in my opinion.

BTW, i recognize your name from my recent DLS content searches. I love your houses! Several have popped up recently all around my route ;).

Exactly. I have good frame rates but I get the hitches too from time to time and can see my hard drive working. I think SSD would help me but I have to way the cost.

They are not my houses, only reskins. I've tried to find and reskin (with permission) a fair amount of houses that might be suitable in Midwest North America.

By the way have you seen my route project? This is what I would like to make some videos of.

I have, your natural scenes just look so..."natural" which is one of the things i feel like i am struggling with. I really like the last couple shots with the cows in the pasture.

Anyway, here are a couple "in development" shots along the old Central of New Jersey Nesquehoning Branch.

Thats the third modification i've done to the tracks here so far, and i'm probably not done.

The siding at Panther (Creek Partners CoGen), where the waste-coal unit trains from Hazleton are unloaded.

Lake Hauto. One of the goals of this weekend: finish this area, which includes filling in the forests on the hillside and adding homes, docks, and details to the other side, as well as a few boats in the lake.

Surely Disney got his ideas from visiting Mauch Chunk-(Sleeping Bear) (aka: Jim Thorpe) ... it is such a quaint, surealistic, town with great old refurbished buildings !

Perhaps my last batch of screenshots before i catch the southbound Silver Star to Kissimmee, Florida on Thursday for a nice 8 day Disney Vacation :).

Awsome shots!!:D

The track you use in the yards, thats not jointedrail's is it? could you tell me where you got it?

Cheers
