Railraoad crossings not functioning and trees not growing

I have just installed BNSF 50's animated railroad crossings into my route. I am having a problem with the rail signals and gates doing their job during the simulation. I am using Trainz simulator for the MAC could this be the problem? Whenever I set the crossings they have animation, but they do not work whenever I am in the driver mode.

I am also having trouble with the trees on my route not looking like trees. Whenever I go into driver mode none of the live action trees have any leaves. What could be the problem?

Are you certain you have connected the crossings correctly? The trees change with the seasons, so be sure you are set for summer or spring in the environmental settings.

In Surveyor > Edit Environment change the calender to summer. Trainz 'seasons' default to your system time so if you are in winter your trees are in winter...

Thanks for the reply Euphod. How can I make sure that the crossings are connected properly?

With crossings, you need to ensure that the track is connected to the ends of the crossings. Where the word BNSF50 is, this will turn into the track-type that you've connected. Once you've connected the track, you need to connect the road on each side of the crossings. The same thing will happen as well.

Thanks John for the tips. I have the crossing signals working and the trees look great. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for getting back to us. Neglecting to attach track and road to the crossings is a common mistake, I remember facing the same issue many years ago.
