thanks so much for your help blue
so there is not a piece of track for this? how do i stop the trains from running into each other
I'll expand this a bit. If ya want to do road/rail crossing, Use ATLS. If we're talking rail/rail crossing, ASB Crossover.Boat also made a level crossing signal controller. I may have the name wrong as I am not at my Trainzing computer to look up the details. You need to program it in a similar fashion as you would the ATLS controller and crossings for automobiles.
It works nicely and it's cool to see a signal drop to a red signal for a train approaching a level crossing as another track is approaching at the same time.

Both are DLS asset sets created by "boat"
They work in TANE as well. Make sure the word TANE is in the asset name. I actually use all three asset sets religiously(this includes the payware ASB Double Track Turnout AKA ASB DTT)boat's ASB grade crossing control is easy to use. All the directions are in the properties sheets for each asset. It also works in 2009, 10 & 12; I haven't tested it in TANE. Once it's set up you can forget about it; any sessions you create from the original will inherit the settings. Placing the triggers where you will be shunting requires some thought. The thing to keep in mind is, if you break a train to shunt, or even just run around, ASB will think the result is a NEW TRAIN. Therefore you should use the ASB Correctors according to the directions wherever that will happen. boat even has a nice clickity-clack trigger for realistic sound effects.
There are a number of suitable check rails (search "checkrail" or "check rail") on the DLS so you can build a crossing that looks real, too, with little effort.
