Question, would this work?

Hi, I just wanted to know can I get TRS 2006 locomotives to work on TRS 2004. The reason is I'm getting the QR Beyer Garratt, the body of the boiler, tender and watertank is TRS 2004 compatable but the bogeys for the Garratt are TRS 2006 compatable. Can I get the bogeys of the QR Beyer Garratt to work on TRS 2004 with the body of the QR Beyer Garratt?

Possibly changing the trainzbuild line in the config files of all the dependencies, to 2.0 or 2.4 might backdate a loco.

I have tried backdating 3.3 and 2.9 locos into TRS2006, by changing the trainzbuild line in all the dependencies config files to 2.0, 2,4 or 2.6 ... but have had no success in getting them backdated.

Thats doest help me much yet but thanks, I could trie to figure out how to do that when I get a computer instead of a laptop which is what I am using and you sort of misunder stood me, I am meaning can you use TRS 2006 rolling stock, locomotives, ect, in TRS 2004. Because I have the QR Beyer Garratt it is there in the game but I just can't add it to track. I have other custom content like different typs of train track, objects and more. Does it matter if I have the Delux Edition? Because I did have the the normal version and I had a QR 3ft 6in coach and a WW2 railway cannon and they worked but I also had other rolling stock but they didn't work.
