Question about Trainz payware site

When I first stumbled upon the screenshots of the USAT 2-8-0 from www.steamlocomotiveworks.com, I was immediately tempted to buy it and have thought about doing so several times since. However the only webpage I have bought anything from in regards to steam engines is Paulz Trainz. If anyone has bought payware from this site before, what has your experience been with the payware you purchased? are there any things I should consider before buying? And yes I know the site is a European one.

I bought a DVD full of pet_shop_boys' old models. They're pretty good. They could use more weathering, but are otherwise nice-looking. I haven't bought the USAT itself yet, though.

Hi haddock --

A long time ago (in a Universe far away?) I purchased Martin's BR 50. I see that it's now listed under "SLW Old Digital".

I was mighty impressed with it and the time and, having just re-installed it and making some alterations so that it works in TS12, I'm still mighty impressed. The workmanship is outstanding. It stands up well against anything produced now.

VMD did a re-skin of this particular locomotive, adding dirt and grime. It also looks mighty impressive.

If Martin's newer locomotives are as good as his older ones I recommend them without hesitation and, on the assumption that they are TS12 compatible, without any reservations.

If you do decide to purchase, could you provide feed back here?

Edit:

An afterthought. If you are interested in a collection of TS12 US steam locomotives that are outstandingly good and also free, see this thread:

I've bought the USAT 2-8-0 the detail in my opinion is exceptional, well worth the money as well as great customer service.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I've just never bought anything from them before and was a little hesitant since it's the first time I ever considered that one. And I do know about Ben Neals' steam engines, heck those were what I ran when I first got into Trainz with Trainz 2006. I know, Trainz 2006 is ancient history.:hehe:
