Question about Trainz 2009?!?!?!?

Ok, well I am new to this board but I have played Trainz 2006 for awhile until I lost the disc. I order the Trainz 2009 digital download last night 12/11/08 at about 9:30 P.M. US eastern time. When I recieved my email I clicked to download the game but the window opens and it say, 404 Not Found! So I sat there and said huh? My dad paid 30.00 US dollars and it won't let me download. I got very angry and luckly me and my dad did get into a fight. I just got angry cause my dad spent 30.00 dollars when I can't even download the game! I said oh great I got ripped off, so when I got back from school today I tried downloading it again, geuss what...... same thing! So I would like to know what can be done or if it can be refunded or downloaded something else I just really want to play I haven't play in a long while!

Explain the issue to them....they should be able to help you.

What was the link you tried? I have just checked the download link we were given in the email and it works without a problem. Better still, email me with a copy of the Auran email so that I can see you are a valid purchaser and perhaps we can get you started before Monday. If it worries you, delete the serial number you were given.

Download Problem 12-12-2008

I placed a Trainz 2009 digital download order this afternoon and when I tried to download I received the same 404 webpage not found message. I sent a message to the Helpdesk. If the problem is not resolved, I'll file a dispute with my credit card company.
 
Steady! The web page is available, I checked and started then stopped a download not long ago so Auran are doing what they should do. You can be getting a 404 for many reasons outside their control.

Do what I asked craz3chri5 above, so that we can check that you have the right link. There is no question that the helpdesk will sort your problem but not until Monday Aus time.

Provide the information and it may be possible to get you downloading before then.

I am not an Auran employee but I know how frustrating and annoying this can be.

I tried to send you a copy of the Auran email as you requested but according to my sent email folder I sent 0 emails. Don't know if you got my email or not.
 
This is the link that I tried then I tried all of them I was given so I don't know what is happening!!! The link I used was the first one!!

What links are you talking about? I have heard nothing from you. If you don't email me I can't help you. I want to see the email you had from Auran then I'll send a link that works.

Click on my username just above here, it will then allow you to 'send an email to narrowgauge'. Copy your email from Auran into the space, add your name and send it.

NOTE: if link does not download when you click it form the email copy it into your internet browser. THE LINK IS VALID. Sometimes the emails remove the http link from the text and it wont work as a clickable link.)

In this case the link does not work even in IE. Hopefully everyone is happy now unless I get an angry email for Auran.

Apparently, these people only received one email with the unavailable web site link.

All those who had the problem have had the correct link supplied to them.

Please give due credit that the helpdesk is working today which is a weekend in Australia.

Thanks to your help I was able to download and install my purchase.
Auran sending emails with broken links is not a way to make customers happy. It took me longer to solve the link problem than it did to download and install. Thanks again for your help.

One thing I know Auran site was unavailable to me most of last night here in Canada. Any of my links last night gave me a 404. So it may have been them or a link to Australia that was down last night.

I also couldn't use the DLS as it couldn't verify my user nameand password.

Servers and routers do fail so nothing is gauranteed to work all the time. The word that is lost today is patience.

I had the same problem last night from New England too. I thought it was because of our ice storm and the fact that we had lost power for 18 hours because of downed power lines and tree limbs across the lines.

You can get 404 errors at any time. Just means YOUR browser can't find the site you have requested.
Happens lots of times.:udrool:
 
Well I sent a message to Auran for a refund. I asked for a refund because I have gotten Trainz 2006 and I hope my father gets his money back thats all I am asking!
