Question about "server appears to be full"

Just curios on my part.

The question is:

With the plethora of complaints about the issue in the title of this thread, if someone is able to get in, downloads what he/she needs, then stays connected to the server without logging off, does that connection ever time-out?

If no time-out or log-off by the connected user, could that be the real issue for the for those who can not connect?

Hopefully, someone with a wealth of knowledge can shed some light and inform me.

I log out of Planet Auran site ... and when I shut down my CMP, to run Trainz or surveyor, I am logged out.

PS: My FCT has never failed me, and I always have had downloading service, except when a server was down. I hope all get their connection back again.

I have no issues either, have FCT and log out when done.

This is just a general question....not pointing finger at anyone.

Just tested it, it does remain logged in for a brief period, but times out very rapidly - I counted 35 seconds after cessation of the download part of installing an asset.

Server seems to be full - my solution

I too have run into this recently and I do not have a FCT. But the desktop that I have is only used for Trainz, (a laptop is my main PC) and I have Wifi throughout my house, so I stay logged into DLS, and every hour or so, try again, and eventually the download works, usually after 3 or 4 tries.

I realize this solution may not work for everyone depending on your computer/internet configuration.
