Question about Safetran signals

I really like the Safetran signals by norfolksouthern37, and think I've have them figured out for proper usage. My question is he has a series of gantry bridges for them, that are in 'Buildings/Scenry', and they have invisible track, and spline points. Is it necessary to connect them to the track, and is there any benefit to doing so?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

this just serves to space the track properly and make sure the cantilever is the correct height. you don't have to do this for any reason if you don't want to.

I have tried both methods and remember having a problem when it wasn't connected for some reason (the signal would not display correct aspects). I tried to move the signal but it seemed to "jump" over the unconnected splines, I deleted and replaced and it worked fine.... weird eh?

NorfolkSouthern37, is there a way to get these signals working with Trainz 2006?
