Question about Multiple Industry New

Yes there is. Queue=Products:hehe:
Well if that's true, it's pretty silly that there is one tab called "Queues" and one tab called "Products"! Choosing unsuitable names for things is common in the computer world, another good example is "class". Absolutely meaningless, it might as well be "banana".
Phil, thanks for the uncoupling suggestion, it had actually crossed my mind, and might work well, as it will provide a lot of shunting action, which will suit my route well. But it's hardly prototypical, right?

Queues = Storage

Queues in Trainz is storage space. In real world manufacturing input items are stored in a different are from the product produced.

Mick_Berg I would try two things:
Decrease destination queue's to be only big enough to hold one carload of coal.

Use the "Do not Load/Unload" option under Commodities during the session.

Revision Number #1

Yes there is. Queue=Products:hehe:

Queue=Product Mix

According to Century Dictionary (1936) a "Queue is a plait of hair worn hanging down. Also, a file or line of persons, carriages, etc."

Maybe I need a more modern dictionary.:hehe:

Revision #2

Yes, I agree a more modern dictionary is needed.:hehe:

According to Dictionary.com a Queue is:

1) a braid of hair worn hanging down.
2) a file or line, esp. of people waiting their turn
3) Computers, a FIFO organized sequence of items, as data, messages, jobs, or the like, waiting action
4) to form in a line while waiting
5) Computers to arrange(data, jobs, messages, etc) into a queue

Queue=jobs awaiting action:o

Mick_Berg I would try two things:
Decrease destination queue's to be only big enough to hold one carload of coal.

Use the "Do not Load/Unload" option under Commodities during the session.

1 - That's how I started out, it worked but only on the first trip, of course on subsequent trips the destination was full and wouldn't accept more coal.
2 - I was trying to make this session hands-off, no intervention from me if possible.
Thanks,
Mick Berg.

Lars Industry could be found here.....

Mick,

I am sure that you will experiment with Multiple Industry New until you get it to do what you want.

I have been silly in my last few posts and want to be helpful.:confused: So on the download station type the word Lars and set the filter to buildings and you will find many Lars (proto Lars) tracks that can produce and consume products. The key is to have rolling stock that is industry ready. There is a lot on the DLS. With Lars still in the search change the filter to rolling stock and download whatever rolling stock you need. You may want to haul products other that coal. Search Products and hundreds of products. I use both industry new and lars tracks on my layouts.

Experiment with both types. One problem I find with bulk products such as coal is that if the consuming track is full the car will not completely unload and I cannot fill it with another type product such as limestone until I completely get rid of the coal.

Hope this helps.

Phil[/quote] Helps alittle, but this tell how to add things already in the list!
Here is my problem- The first time I made this traincar, it lists and shows loads of all the minerals. Ater some changes to the config file, addional copies of this traincar placed do not list and show anything other than the "load" mesh, including the first one except that I already had the minerals e ion the list! If I delete it, so will the ability to see any mineral other that the load mesh. Searching files, the first traincar does not have a seperate config file as is the same KUID No. Can you tell me how to get all minerals back into list?
