Queensland raster map for TransDEM?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on building the entire North Coast Line in Quuensland. I've basically built the coastline in TransDEM, however i've now hit a brick wall. I can't find a good georeferenced, accurate map of Queensland that I can use to track the railway lines with. If anyone could help me, it would be splendid. :)

Thanks,
Jack

Isn't there a built in WMS facility for Australia in Transdem? Failing that you can always use the tile server feature to overlay a Google or Yahoo map. Not so good or detailed but I know from currently working on Cairns to Kuranda and maybe beyond in RailFail that the Google Earth (ergo Google Map) coverage of QA is pretty good.

Hey patchy,

Everytime I try to use the Google Maps thing it says that i'm crossing the equator and it refuses to do anything else. Care to help?

Cheers,
Jack

Yeah, it seems i've run into two new walls:

One, I can't seem to make the size of the routes smaller. Changing the UTM co-ordinates just crops it, it doesn't make it smaller, which is annoying.

Two, I get an error when I try to create the route from Nambour-Rockhampton (The error is: "Errors writing file "[Map Files Export]"."), although I know of the reason for that (it's because there are too many maps on it)

I'm rather frustrated with the program right now.

Jack
