Putting add-ons into Steam

I purchased "The Duchess" add-on in March. I am using TS12 in Steam, how do I incorporate the "Duchess" add-on into TS12 in Steam ? Thanks.

I don't know about 'Steam' as you call as I only purchase from Auran/N3V suppliers. I recently had an HD failure and when reinstalling everything decided to only put Ts 12 on again. When I put the Duchesss on again it didn't find my new Ts 12 but all I needed to do was direct it to the right folder when it starts installing. Went on no problems. Cheers

From memory, adding non-Steam addons into a Steam version does not work very well.

I downloaded the Trainz 12 files from Simulator Central and then installed it on the computer at this location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\N3V Games\Trainz Simulator 12 without a hitch.

I then downloaded "The Duchess" files to the same location and executed that application from there and everything worked fine.

I have not uploaded Trainz 12 to "Steam" yet, but i suppose if I do, now that the Duchess files are part of the Trainz 12 package, they too would be uploaded?
