Procedural Track chairs

PortLineParker

UK Route Builder
Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

I have an issue with a set of points on my route, it happens every now and then and I was wondering if anyone could provide an explanation and possible resolution?
In the picture below, you can see that the chairs on the point blade are missing. Does anyone know why?

The points are on a slight curve, but not on a gradient - that doesn't start until after the points. There are no other points close by either, at least none that are too close.
However, if I rotate the view 180 degrees, the points look fine, as shown below. Am I missing something?

Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

Worth checking that you have Process Objects Behind Camera ticked. Although the point rail is seemingly in front, if its owning junction is behind the camera, then it might not be being processed fully.

Hi Vostrail,

Thanks for the suggestion, I've checked and process objects behind camera is ticked. I suppose it might just be a glitch with procedural track, I know there are still a few issues that need ironing out.

Have you tried moving one of the track leads a tiny bit? This sometimes will "force" the pro-track to redraw and redefine it's parts again. This also solves the other weird glitches such as missing sleepers, or worse, sleepers which extend out of the tracks like an abandoned route or siding.

Unless I'm mistaken, the points are incorrectly formed with red spline circles. Try adjusting them to give white circles and see if this makes any difference.

Hi all,

@JCitron, thanks for the tip but it doesn't seem to make a difference except remove the sleepers completely in Driver. They're certainly temperamental.

@Teddytoot, the red circle is shown because it's in Driver - in Surveyor the circles are yellow as they are at a fixed vertex height (level).

Try adding in some extra spline points, but don't adjust height or anything. That seems to fix the bare ballast issue. This is something that N3V is aware of too.

Hi JCitron,

Thanks for the tip - I have tried this method before but alas, while it solved the issue in Surveyor, it was still present in Driver and then cropped up again in Surveyor when I exit Driver.
I think procedural track is superb, and highly praise N3V for it - I guess, like any programming, there are still a few bugs left. But it's good to know that N3V are on the case.
Cheers,

Is this the LRW procedural track by lielestosbrat? If so, I believe this is a known problem (along with the grey and brown ballast issue) that requires (and awaits) a solution from Rob.

This sounds very similar to the issue I was reporting in this thread:
https://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?140628-Procedural-track-not-rendering-fully
If so, the issue has been resolved for me ever since the last hot fix for TANE SP2. The confusion with rendering sleepers (or "ties") persists. I've worked around it by cloning the track assets I use, and making versions that display only rails and ballast, and versions that display only sleepers/ties (with chairs). When I lay some cramped or complex track work that Trainz does not want to render reliably, I replace the operational track with the rails and ballast version, and then add ties like a scenery spline with the ties-only version.
