Problem with Launcher

Yes, they are. I updated them with drivereasy yesterday or the day before that. As for the install thing, I only installed one copy of TRS22 this time, there’s no way the install path couldn’t be correct
I wouldn't be using 3rd party driver installation software. It's like installing drivers from Windows Update, lets not explain how Windows Update ruins drivers, forcing you to download drivers manually and then performing clean installations.

If you have NVIDIA graphics, always use NVIDIA GeForce Experience
For all Intel drivers, use Intel Driver & Support Assistant
AMD, also has a similar program to NVIDIA GeForce Experience use that if you have AMD graphics. I don't know the name of it.

Always perform a clean installation and please stop using drivereasy or any other 3rd party rubbish. No offence!

I will second that. Some third party installers do a good job but others not so good. For example, Windows Update, as mentioned above, can replace perfectly good manufacturers hardware drivers with their own "Windows generic" drivers which can and often do lead to all sorts of performance issues. I know nothing about DriverEasy so I cannot comment on that. I always update my video drivers directly from the source, NVIDIA.

Well drivereasy was needed in order for me to stop getting an out of memory error whenever I played Train Simulator. And until the 28th of April, this problem hadn’t occurred at all. Even updating directly from NVIDIA didn’t seem to do anything.

Actually, it’s not. I had two versions: TRS19 and TRS22. The latter is the one that is suffering the problem, the former is working just fine

Open your launcher screen on TRS19 and open settings/install. Check which build number is in the path box. Going by the dates I think it might be one of the following.
bg7yx6u21 = Maybe an old TRS22 install
lbsrqds41 = Possible a TRS19 install
lhqsax6b1 = Possible a TRS19 install
rcbghpsi1 = Could be the latest TRS22 install
I would delete the other three and the TRS22 app install.
This would leave only the TRS19 build folder. Now install TRS22 and it will add a new build folder.

First of all! Nobody can stop the out of memory problem caused by Train Simulator 'TSC', this is caused by the games outdated files. But DTG's between you and I and everyone else reading this will continue to blame the owner for having outdated drivers! When they seen my computer fully up-to-date they were like 'Sorry, can't help you further'.

To reduce out of memory issues with TSC
NVIDIA Control Panel
3d Settings
Program Settings
Add RailWorks.exe '32 or 62 bit' it doesn't really matter or add both
Set the processor type to 'NVIDIA High-Performance'
Click Apply.. Then exit NVIDIA Control Panel

Note: When updating NVIDIA drivers, after doing a clean install. You will need to setup the program settings in NVIDIA Control Panel.
It's a sacrifice for the clean installation, well worth it so you can get used to adding the settings

Same rule applies for Trainz and other games. Use your graphics memory!
And get rid of that drivereasy, it's a bunch of rotten tomatoes

Then why hasn’t drivereasy been causing me problems? Prior to April 28, no updates had occurred, with either drivereasy or with windows. Yet TRS22's launcher begins failing.

I do not bother with any of this, and Trainz works just fine. The only thing i do , is when updating Nvidia drivers.... express installation and then reboot the computer.
it helps by having 2047MB GTX 1660 Ti.

No, no, no!! Don't use express installation, at least not for drivers. I have always performed a clean install found in the custom install options

what is drivereasy...??
A commercial application that monitors your system drivers (e.g. video, audio, wifi, bluetooth, etc, etc) and updates them when new versions of those drivers are released.

A review of this product can be found at https://download.cnet.com/driver-easy/3000-18513_4-75090748.html?ex=RAMP-2070.2

It is one of many such utility apps, both freeware and "subscriptionware", that can be found. Looking at various other review sites you can find, as would be expected, a wide range of opinions from "hate it" to "love it".

I have a similar product that came bundled with my subscription system maintenance utility.

why not?

have been doing this for years , without any problems.....
Express installation skips updating certain files 'already' installed on your computer! This would mean that regardless of an up-to-date version of the file, it will be skipped during installation via Express

Pretty much it's exactly like Microsoft Update generic rubbish, skipping important files that needs to be updated

that is not how i see it.....
installing files already on the computer, could croup the files already there.
I guess we will have agree to dis agree and leave it there.

I actually had tried this, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't fixed. IT seems getting a laptop for gaming may be the only option left to run TRS22

Updating the drivers didn't work either, I already tried
