Problem with downloaded VR steam locos

I have just installed Trainz Classics.

On the download station I have successfully downloaded with the download helper and used the VR A2 and K class 'original' locos in the game, but many of the others dont work. In railyard you cannot see the locos nor can you use them. You can see the tenders only. The faulty ones include:

X class
R class various
J class
N class various
H class
S class
K class except original

They all seem to have problems with missing or unknown dependencies

Can someone give me help please

Hello Nathan,

Welcome to the addicting program called Trainz.

The locos won't show if they are missing assets or there are some errors with them. These errors will show up in Content Manager (CMx). These errors can easily be repaired by opening the asset up within the program and then by editing the config files, or running a couple of utilities on the graphics files.

User PEV (Peter Vincent) has written some awesome tools to fix the small graphics issues that have come up in the recent versions of Trainz. This due to how the program now handles the graphics and has nothing to do with anything that the original creator did.

Which version of Trainz classics? TC3 has enhanced loco specs for steam locos but should work with the older type.

I have Trainz Classics 1st & 2nd Ed

Managed to get most of the VR steam locos to work after aliasing the interior kuid to others that I had, some have so many missing dependencies like the R class (R727 now works) and the Queensland Garratt - cant get the right bogies to go under the garratt boiler as these kuid are missing from the one off DLS

Heaps of probs too with downloaded routes - seems many are missing dependencies which cant be found on DLS
tried the queenscliff route and dayleford routes

any suggestions most welcome

Pick up TS2010, basically TC1/2 is limited and does not include much of the built in content, TS2010 does and allows access to all the DLS. TS2010 has the updated steam support as well.
