Problem with custom content

Good day fellow TS players, I'm an old Trainz Sim player, dating back since 2006 and recently bought TS12. I had around 5GB of content that I had on TRS2006 but now with TS12 I re-downloaded everything and more from the different websites that exist.
Other than it took a painfully long time to put 10GB of content (around 14 hours) in the Manager, now I find that 80% of the content appears as faulty (CM is at 3.5 and my game's build is 46957) and only a few things downloaded from USLW, some from the Hungarian and only the locos from a Russian website function when I get in the railyard. I have never had this problem with TRS2006 and my guess is that the newly-downloaded content should work since yes, they might be for an older version (99% for TRS2010 with SP3) but I don't see why they don't work. Scanning for issues for the certain so-called "faulty" content gives nothing, 0 warnings and 0 errors. Can anyone please help me?
 
When you have registered your copy of TS12 you will be able to go into the TS12 section of the Forum.

There is a lot of expertise there where I'm sure someone can help you out with your problem.

Start with registering your version of TS12. You can do that here:

Next step will be patching your game to the latest build, being 49922. To do that, go to options, find the place to enter your username and password and you will find a patch button next to that. Give the process some time.
The end result will be CM version 3.6, which might already solve a bunch of your problems.

My advice is to not try and fix stuff untill you rulled out the chance of these things being fixed by getting your game to the latest build.

I got the Steam version of the game, I downloaded the patches but is says that the patches are not applicable.
 
Contact Steam. Even Steam has a patch for Trainz 12 nowadays.

The registration thing still should work though, so maybe start with that ;). A lot of people on this forum refuse to help you if they dont see you having a registered version of the game.
 
As long as the Steam Client itself is running, it should bring the game up to date (build 53xxx).

As for the serial number, it should be in an email or within the Steam Client itself.
