At present experimenting using them around a small branch terminus with two main platforms, a bay and sidings. I did find that I couldn't seem to set them up around a lot of points, crossovers and the like but it's all about trigger placement. I think it's working now.

Hi Angela,
Just to clarify, you don't need to allow a gap after the crossing for your train length. You can put the leaving trigger as close to the crossing as you like. Nothing will happen until the entire train, (no matter how long it is) has cleared the trigger. I think this is why you are seeing a 2" delay, (which it doesn't have unless you've set one).
The 'Arriving' Trigger will activate as the train approaches, the 'Leaving' Trigger as it leaves. This applies if you are using the 2-way methods too.
