Problem with 2004 route in 2010 missing stuff, etc.

I successfully imported a very large 2004 route into 2010 even though it shows up as faulty the route loads. But, almost all the tracks are missing, replaced with white dashes, and some buildings and trees missing. Do I import the missing items from 2004 or have to download them all over again? Some objects were my own edits or sent to me and not available as a public download yet. It is my own custom creation combining others routes with my own TransDEM sections to merge it all together. It is modeling eastern PA and NJ with Reading and Northern, and Norfolk Southern, etc. Another issue is that the topo map data doesn't appear on the DEM sections that I created. It's just blank with yellow lines like a blank baseboard, thus no rail or road lines appear as there is no TIGER on those sections. How can I get the maps to load with the route? They appeared fine in 2004. I want them to aid in finishing the route, laying roads, remaining rails, etc. but I also want the ability to remove the maps later to place ground, grass down. Can anyone help with this or provide an answer as to what I have to do? Thanks.

Try opening the route in compatibility mode. This is a check box in the options screen.

In order to load the route in TS2010 native mode, you need to repair the faulty content.

Reimporting the content from TRS2004, or redownloading will not fix your problem.

This content is not "faulty" in the sense of being broken, it's that there is now stringent error checking that nearly non-existent in earlier versions of Trainz.

If you fix your "faulty" content, then your route will load up fine in native mode, and you'll have the added benefit of better performance. TS2010 in compatibility mode has to parse over the errors, thus degrading the performance.

Your missing DEM Tiger information isn't shown because Trainz is missing the textures. They too can have an error, thus cause them not to load.
