Problem Logging In

haha so the key is different in spanish keyboards. Didnt know that :D. Okay, yes, the key should be in the upper side of the keyboard, near the F12 button. Try doing that. Pressing the "Prt Scr SysRq, makes a screenshot of the desktop/screen that you are seeing at the moment of the shot, so if you dont have any program opened, you will see only the desktop with the icons and the toolbar, and if you have the CMP opened you will see the CMP and the toolbar. So with the problem visible, take the screenshot, and make what i have say before

Later save it as JPG, cuz BMP or TGA is a large file. And then upload it to Imageshack, HostthenPost, Photobucket or your preferred Image Hosting Site. Then paste the link here, so, somebody with the same problem will see it and could help you. Good luck, and please explain better your problem

I could tell you what my problems are, but I'm pretty sure there's a character limit per post.

It seems the forums are being a bit slow as of late, and I don't want to make multiple posts.

Actually, that's one of my problems!:hehe:

Guess that's Spanish for the Prt Scr SysRq button on an English Language keyboard. Usually somewhere near the Scroll Lock and Pause Buttons.
Prt Scr stands for print screen.

Oh. Thanks for letting me know.

@Ivantr: Ok, here's the picture:

Based on what I've read and seen so far, the problem is firewall related.

It's worth checking to make sure it's not blocking Trainz.

Shane

What firewall software are you using? If it's Windows Firewall, can I check what operating system you are using?

If you have any Block/Allow prompts, make sure you click Allow.

I can confirm that TS2009 is acting strangely for me today, so there may also be a server issue.

interesting thread. also interesting b/c I'm getting the same error today as well. Hmmm, nothing has changed on my system but I am trying to access from work, but never had problems before.

Wonder if its the same problem that's affecting us both or just a coincidence?

Here's my network diagnostic:

It appears that you may have connection issues also.

As an aside, try changing the password in the Content Manager settings box to an incorrect password, click Save, then go back in and enter the correct password and re-click Save.

thanks shane! actually, I went back into do this and while trying ...it successfully logged me in. so must be some glitch on either end. Will remember that little trick the next time!

It didn't work for me.

Im just wondering how big this problem is getting as I have just had the same issue (CM not recognizing my account details). Ive been away for the weekend so Ive only just picked up on this. The change password does seem to work but Im wondering if something has gone astray over the weekend?

Other thing I have noticed is that when I click on an item in CM it either does not show an image of the item or takes so long to display it that I have already moved on several items with same result. Just done that now and it took over 60 seconds to display image.

It appears to be a server issue. It never happened to me before until today, where it has happened roughly every other time I start CM. The rest of the times are OK.

And I don't fiddle with username or password. I just close and restart CM. Conclusion: servers acting out - again!!!

I am convinced it is the servers. All of the sudden, CM(P), Auran's homepage, Forum, and Blogs are all being screwy at the same time. It's all a hit or miss thing for me. It takes 2 or 3 tries to get any of the sites to click and let me do what I want to do there.

That seems to confirm the results I've got from my PC Information Application - that reported that it couldn't find the host when it was looking for auran.com.
