Premetro Island Station?

Does anyone know how to get premetro island station besides on the dls. Whenever I try installing it it says "Failed to install asset <kuid:112820:26025>". Help would be appreciated.

I've downloaded and installed this subway station into TRS2004 and TRS2006 without problems or errors. I exported it from TRS2006 as a CDP and tried to install it into TS2010 but it still won't install. If you want help with this kuid you could try Cosey, the author. He last posted in the forum in May of this year.

There is a file with a length of 0 (zero), this seems to cause a problem with Trainz version newer than TRS2006. IF you delete this file before repacking with TRS2004 or TRS2007, the package will be imported by the newest versions.

Problem is I'm doing it directly from the DLS and can't seem to access the file. I have TS2009, so it would be very helpful to know a solution to this mess.

Which file is it?

The empty file (0 bytes) is rolltreppe.evt. I used FTP to download premetro island station,<kuid:112820:26025>
from the DLS, then loaded the .cdp file into TRS2004 (without error) so I could see the individual files. Found the empty file, deleted it then used TS2010 CM3.3 Import Content function to import it. It commited without error. If you don't have TRS2004 but do have TRS2006, you can use CMP to import the .cdp, then open it for edit, delete rolltreppe.evt, save and commit. Now open for edit to import into TS2009 or 2010 or make a CDP file then import that into TS2009 or 2010.

Would not committing the content on import be helpful?

Meaning you need to commit the content manually after installing into CM.

Premetro Island Station

Armed with the information that <kuid:112820:26025> (Premetro Island Station) has a zero length file embedded into it (rolltreppe.evt), I took the information and edited the .cdp file using a hex editor. I searched for the text "rolltreppe.evt" and then edited the "evt" to "xxx". I then saved the file and tried to import the file through content manager (V 2.0 from trainz2009). I am pleased to report that the file committed and after testing it out it appears to be working fine!

Please note that using a text editor can be damaging if you aren't quite sure what you are doing.

Anyway, it fixed the problem for me for trainz 2009 giving the "failed to install asset" error message. I hope this is useful for others.

Regards

Mike
