If your using TS 2010 you can lock the surrounding objects if that helps. I have never really had a problem with moving objects other then moving the wrong one. Maybe zoom out to help with moving better.

hth, hert

EDIT: You can also in the objects config. Lock it to different to rotate and move in degrees. Look at City Junction 01 for how the config is setup. The Modula City assets use this feature on there road system.

Hello ARR.

It is often easier to lay things more precisely when your viewpoint is as close to "direcly overhead" as you can get.

For me, the shallower the viewing angle, the harder it is. And its harder still with smaller objects, particulary when placing an object close, or beneath another; for example a person, or chair under a tree. Ok if you place the smaller object in the right place at your first go, but really hard if you then need to move it. Then you tend to move the wrong object! When that happens, it often easier to delete and have another go.

Load of practice helps immensely, but even then it can still be hard to do.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
