Although I been working with trainz for many years I never used portals until now. I use specialized loads in my routes which I program each railcar to carry. I was wondering if I could somehow program the portal to generate cars that are programed to carry specialized goods such as wire coils or 12m steel rods? It would also be nice to have trains loaded with coal or iron ore generated from the portals. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks in advance.:wave:

The first in the set of commands exiting the portal will be "instant load".
If you want the same vehicle to carry different loads (it must be able to carry them anyway) you'll have to clone and name it and put the product kuid at the top of the list in the config file.
So for eg you will have flat car (standard), flat car 8sb(8 foot steel bar)
flat car 16t (16 foot tube) and so on.
The coal and iron ore are easy, vehicles are there for that.

I've been using Portals for the past 12 months to set instructions for one driver to handle three different industries with a single consist. e.g. Forestry, coal and fuel. The consist was made up of four specific trucks for each industry and the instructions for 'load/unload' at each destination. The train would visit each industry in sequence carrying out the various duties with optimal success. The beauty of using Portals is to keep any congestion on the lines to a minimum plus a clean consist every 5 or 10 minutes. Just sit back and watch it happen.

Will it work with TRS2004?Right now I am researching changing the config of the car without much success.
CMTMSystem2 was designed for TRS2010. However, there exists the original CMTM which was written for TRS2006. It might work in TRS2004. Give it a try & let us know how it works.
