Polish Screenshots

I have been getting a thing for Polish rail, so I thought I'd start a thread to show some of it off. Here's some to start you off.

A heavy coal train leaving the mine, headed by double Ty2s.

An 0-4-0 Fireless loco at the oil refinery.

The same coal train charges up the Wysoka Incline.

The banker follows at the rear of the train.

What class/series is the large freight loco in the 3rd pic? and, where can I find it? (Has a bit of a SLW look.)

It's the Ty2 V2 from SLW. Payware but much better than the freeware model ...

I've never made a Polish route, but since my visit there last year i've become very interested. Could you tell me what locos these are below, and if they are available in Trainz.

This picture was found on the internet, on a really cool website with tons of pictures of trains from all over the world.



This video was taken by me near a station on the outskirts of Krakow in the Podgorze district (not exactly sure of the station name).

I am also struggling to find Polish content on CMP, so if anyone can tell me what to search, I would be very grateful. Thank-you.

The top loco is a st43 the video is a ET41 they are available in Trainz

Thanks for your reply Duncan. I'm waiting on a new TRS2006 disk, so when it comes I can start a Polish route .

P.S. The train in the video consisted of 24 wagons weighing 24 tons each empty. Since they were full, the overall weight of the train must have been massive.

Not as massive, as they can be here. Usually you can meet 3000-3200 tonnes trains, and even 3800 tonnes is possible.

I assume "EN57" or "EN71". But the polish colleagues will surely tell you better.

It's EN57 EMU. EN71 consists of 4 units (two engine cars in the moddle, one in EN57's case).

Didn't want to lose this thread. The station that I was near whilst taking photos/videos is called Krakow Krzemionke. I wonder if anyone has made a route based around that area...

Sorry if it has been said already but where did the fireless loco come from? btw great shots all will post some of mine soon looking for some insperation for a Polish layout , what industry is mainly transported by rail?

sorry to double post but seprate question to the above, please could someone tell me good and bad sites for polish content, mainly steam if possible but diesel and electric are great too.
