Please Wait Applying Filter

When I click on Manage Content all I get is a half open page saying "please wait, applying filter". This goes on forever. I cannot do anything in CMP because of it. If I click on anything else it works ok. Is there a way around this? I have tried to add a CDP but that didnt work either. I have Trainz installed on two different hard drives as well as my internal hard drive and they all have the same problem. I have disconnected the external hard drives. I need to get into my CMP. I need some good advice.

Change from the Downloads tab to another one such as Open for Edit. If the DLS is slow, then CMP is having trouble connecting.

I import CDPs by dragging them into CM.

Go to the Open for Edit page

Drag the CDP file from your desktop, or drive folder.

The file be processed. Click okay when done.

Look for errors in the content, and fix them should there be any.

Commit the installed assets. Select all and press CTRL+M at the same time.

You are running TRS2006, Harold?

If so delete the assets.tdx file and let CMP rebuild the database.

Its deleted and CMP still will not open and it has been saying......."please wait, applying filter" for over half an hour now.

Jay,
Is the Download Helper window open? If not then CMP is probably being blocked by your firewall (and even if it is open it may be being blocked by it)

When you delete your assets.tdx file, you should also delete the assets.bku file in the Auran/Trainzxy/Cache folder (you might not have one, don't fret if you don't have one it's fine) After this you don't run CMP! You are supposed to run the game itself after deleting those two files. Always remember that.
@Harold: Make sure they're both deleted (or just assets.tdx if there is no .bku) then launch the game. It will take longer than usual to load, I expect. When you get into the menu, quit and fire up CMP. See what happens then.

Just a little help, open control panel, open firewall, open exceptions, in the exceptions bit add trs2006 to the list. I'll get back with the internet one when i find it.
In control panel open internet options, open trusted sites, add planetauran.com
If I'm wrong someone will correct me for sure.

I get the same thing "applying filter" more and more it seems like. Very frustrating. My hard drive is working excesively when CM does this. Anyone know what's going on here?

I get this from time to time too. every time is due to the Trainz/Bin/TrainzUtil running an asset check and CM remains stuck until this process completes. (I have it so TAD Daemon is an accesable window so it also shows when TrainzUtil is running.) If you want to activate this window, just open the sim, go to options, developer tab and put a checkmark in the show database process window box. this allows you to see when Tad Daemon is running as well as TrainzUtil. This also gives you the ability to see when Tad daemon shuts down so you can safely shut down the computer when applicable.

I'm a little confused here re: the 3 most recent posts (including the one by dricketts which bumped the thread)

The thread title (and likely the original post) refers to a TRS2006 problem, but now seems to be being confused with a TS2009/2010/12 problem.
