Player controlled signals?

Hi,
I can imagine this question has been asked many times yet I can't seem to find it using the 'search' option :-)
So is there a signal which could be operated by player while playing the game?

I mean I could set Trigger Multiple Signals rule and just run a train myself to set those signals but that's not what I'm after. I'd like to operate it like junction levers.

Oh, and by the way - I use TMS rule and have to set trigger's radius. Is there any way to measure the radius on the map? If the radius is 200 is it 200ft or 200m or something else?

Thanks
Kris

I don't know if there are any user-controlled signals at present, but I do think this would be a great idea. It would really add to the dispatching side of Trainz.

You can do it by using a piece of Invisible Track and placing it just beyond the signal to form an "Invisible Branch".If you set the Invisible Lever to lie normally for the branch, a Cab Controllled train will find the signal at Danger and you will have to set the points, allowing the signal to clear. However AI drivers will set the points automatically.

However AI drivers will set the points automatically.

I've read about a junction that is uncontrollable by AI drivers but that's one thing. Another is that you can only switch between DANGER and 'automatic'.
It'd be nice if I could set CLEAR or CAUTION or DANGER myself.

What you might find of use is the "Signal Details Rule" which allows you to manually set the signal state for one or more specified signals.

The rule mentioned above seems to be created for both German and English version.
Anyway, if yours is in German - this may be helpful:

stop "Halt"
caution "Halt erwarten"
proceed "Fahrt"
automatic "Automatisch"
sigoff "Signal Licht Aus"
sigon "Signal Licht Ein"
