Piers for high bridges

Hi;
What do you use for supports/piers for very high bridges? All of the piers I have tried so far are not high enough to support high bridges, so the bottoms of the piers just 'hang' in mid air.

Thanks for your help

Hi Fred,

There are some old stone bridge piers as track objects which work pretty well.

How tall though do you need? These are pretty tall but may not be tall enough.

I have several concrete and stone bridge piers that have a height range of zero elevation to approximately 240 ft above grade. They're on the DLS, and listed as spline objects. They are set up for single track, but can be expanded to fit double track. Click on my sig below to check them out on my web site. They're listed under 'My Content'.

I have been thinking about making a series of piers for bridges on the DLS that do not come with piers. I have a reasonable idea of what I need to make but I'm not certain about the maximum height. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had problems finding piers/bridge recently where track was at ( 0 ) & base of pier at ( -70 ) there were piers available but not many modern ( concrete ) types.
Most were hanging in the air ( bridges with piers ) or stand alone piers / supports which were only 1/4 to 1/2 the length req'd including the snap to track type.
The one I ended up using was kuid 82763:1146 with only about 10mts to spare.

I kit bashed 4 supports to 91 meters

I kit bashed 4 supports to 91 meters = 298.55643 feet
By the way thats a AMG ruler spline you can use "fly" to read
