Pennsylvania Railroad?

The issue being why is there not more ________ fill in with favorite railroad routes or content?

I think the most important difference between between the Trainz world and the Model Railroading world is that there is no Athearn or Atlas. All "models" that we use were scrap-built by another hobbyist. Once a prototype model is scrap built there are no limitations in producing and distributing it, nor on how it is painted or weathered. There is no kitbashing, however. You either like someone elses model (and perhaps weather it, or change the road numbers) or you need to create your own, from scratch.

Because of this I find it very hard to compare it to a model railroader community. I liken it more to a video game modding community (since essentially that's what it is.)

I am a big Pennsylvania Railroad buff ans I have the GG1, M1, K4s, E6s, RS3, RS11, F7 (EF15), FA (AF15), E8, GP9 and MP54. I was wondering why aren't there any PRR routes or more PRR power like the freight electrics like the E44? As big as the Pennsylvania Railroad was in it's heyday you'd think users would focus on the largest railroad in the United States. But, I guess there aren't many Pennsy fans. I wish there were PRR routes as adequant as they make for CSX and Norfolk Southern or international routes. One route I would like to see would be the main line from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Crestline, Ohio or the NEC from New York's Penn Station (including Sunnyside Yard) and Washington D.C.'s Union Station. One question, is why do so many people treat the Pennsylvania Railroad like a bunch of dirt? I mean, Pennsy had some of the best locomotives in the world and you're going to make only a few examples of PRR motive power, coaches, freight cars, maintenance of way equipment, etc.

heres a little the nec is a really intersing route we have some one already comited on doing the nec and the nec is such a large route and all those poly counts must be hard to deal with so don't say were treating the prr a little dirt.

What I am talking about is the "community" doesn't it make sense that if Trainzers can get together and jointly work on projects that the work would go faster?

I get that but, there should be more PRR equipment and routes on the DLS.

Work in Progress...

 One of the points presented to me about the Pennsy is that it's not what they had(the had at least a handful of practically everything), but what they didn't have!

What is being said here is actually true of all railroading in Trainz.

Some roads have a lot of content available, some may have a few good routes.

But mostly, you have an enormous amount of interests converging in scale model railroading that have funded different projects over a long period of time.

This is happening in Auran Trainz & believe it or not the software is coming of age to be able to handle the future demand.

All my life I have modeled locomotives in HO-scale. The tools have changed, I'm learning to use them.

While the main mesh of a model cannot be changed, we do have the ability to change enginesounds, hornsounds, enginespecs, interiors, bogeys, scripts, mass weight, products, product weight, couplers, sound effects, add-subtract-change the shadow mesh, etc...the new "kit-bash."

Digital Elevation Modeling(DEM) of actual locations provide a method of terrain modeling to recreate the desired location.

We do this, use it until we become bored with it, then make something new...

LOOK! ALL I AM SAYING THAT THERE SHOULD BE MORE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD THEMED OBJECTS IN THE DOWNLOAD STATION!
And lots of others from railways all over the world for those of us outside of America. Stuff will only appear if somebody wants to make it or you are willing to pay for somebody like Paul Mace (Barn700) to make it for you. Otherwise the only solution is to learn to make it yourself.

Well some person is also working on the horse shoe curve with trainz,I've been there before I must say those arcitects did a really good job in constructing and laying all thats still used as of today, in addition on the trainz commuter rail site some one did the stratsburg railmuseum route in two forms one in high poly count the other in low poly count so you at least have some where to model your prr equipment.
