Hi all,
Vinny you have it in one. Crap customer service period. Like you, I build my own pc's. I own an accounts software company, that releases updates twice per annum. We have 150000 customers across Europe. I own my own servers in 9 different countries. My clients are the most important part of this business. Whether they fob me off, get annoyed or whatever, I bow, and fix the issue, through the weekend if necessary, because without them, the customers, we have nothing to release ever, because there would be no need.
I jumped all the hoops with these releases from NV3, took all the precautions. Last night I did the sensible thing, I dumped the lot of my pc, which was custom built for this simulator. Nothing else happens on this pc, it is one of my hobbies.
I rebuilt TS 12 to 49922, and stopped at that. Installed the original payware zip files, restored my old user data, and turned off auto updates. I am back to where I was 12 days ago, issue free and have access to my products and it is running like dream.
Zec, I know you have a hard time from us sometimes as end users, but this is an NV3 problem, not your clients, so stop blaming them and stop with this " did you try this solution" Your patches should not be released until they are bullet proof, otherwise you risk loosing the faith of your users. That is of course if NV3 respect and value their client base in the first place.
I for one will never patch again, nor purchase a download or FTC ticket either. I have a 12 month FTC and it is worthless as their is nothing worth downloading anymore, especially when you run the risk of corrupting your installation.
