Patch Failed - 42203 to 43434

Check the patch destination when you start the patch. Make sure it is going to 2010. It's been known to try patching to 2009. It will take a long time. ^ hours for me.

nkp, what you basically need to check is the folder that the patcher is patching - this will be at the top of the patcher window.

If it is wrong, click the button labelled .., then select the correct folder.

Also, if a patch freezes, or is otherwise cancelled, you may need to re-install the affected version of Trainz.

Since you are also running TS2009, you must check which folder it is patching. You can do this by looking at the top of the patcher window. It may be trying to patch TS2009 rather than TS2010.

If it is indeed trying to patch the wrong folder, then you need to click the .. button next to the path shown to select the correct folder.

It's only necessary to check if TS2009 is actually installed on the system (even if you do not have the disk).

Luckily, you do not need the TS2009 DVD to sort the problem out - simply click the .. button at the top of the patcher to select your TS2010 folder.

If it still fails, check your build number.

Did you check it was patching the correct folder? That error only happens if you either did not select the correct folder, or a patch has failed (and requires a re-install)

Shane

When you run the patcher, there is a box at the top with a folder path inside it, with a .. button next to it. The folder it shows is the one it will attempt to patch. (Just underneath the 'Trainz Patcher' heading)

As I have said many times, you need to check what folder the patcher is patching. To check this, there is a box at the top of the patcher window - underneath the Auran Patcher heading. It's the one next to the .. button - it sounds like it is set to the wrong folder. To correct this, click the .. button and select the correct folder.

Do you know how to take screenshots?

I may be able to help you further if you can take a screenshot (using the Printscreen button on the keyboard) of the Trainz Patcher window.

Once done, you will need to go into Paint or similar to save it as an image, then upload it to somewhere like Photobucket - then use the share option to get a link to post here.
