Well I'm at my AIT duty station in Fort Eustis, Virginia. It's cold here and the barracks aren't very good. No hot water and the sinks are censored where to the point you have to hold your hand under the sink in order to keep the water while shaving, brushing teeth, and any other type of hygiene activity. Well at least I can have my cellphone and laptop. So on pass and personal time I'll be doing a lot of renovating my routes. Should be done by the end of February. Well I gotta take care of some business.

Thieves galore in the barracks, watch your laptop, and cash ... better to not have anything worth money at all.
Your cheap padlock is all that protects your belongings, and cheap lockers are easily broken open with a combat boot heel.
Ft Knox was a WWII barracks, I got used to shaving from 25 foot distant the mirror, sharing one bathroom with 110 guys.
I was always awake before the Drill Sgt hit the door (I would hear him trudging through the pea gravel, and I'd jump outa' bed) ... he never caught me sleeping, as I showered at 2:30 AM, changed, and slept in my clothes (jumping outa' bed like a fireman).
