Packaged Content Uninstall Issue

Hello people of Trainz. I had installed a JR P42DC off of Trainz's content store. Later, I bought the same locomotive from JR since the JR one on JR's website was updated and so I could apply changes to it. I uninstalled the DLC one and installed the new one. But the locomotive still showed up in content manager. I did a database repair but it still showed up in content manager. The other one I installed off of the JR website was obsolete. I even deleted the file for the DLC one and it still showed up in content manager even after another database repair. Just to also clarify, I submitted the edits to the DLC asset.

The DLC from the content store will show in content manager as Packaged or Payware, A downloaded asset from JR will show in content manager as Modified. Content Manager is simply the contents of your database and will show anything installed whether it's from N3V, DLS, or a third party.
For your needs, you need to uninstall the N3V DLC and make sure the package folder is gone.
Then perform a database repair and install the cdp files from JR, check in the "today" filter that the loco from JR is listed as Modified

You can't submit to a DLC asset only a cloned DLC asset. Looking at the JR site those updates are years old so they show as obsolete. The DLC version is newer and you can not delete DLC content in CM, you have to uninstall it from the content store.

Yes, I have uninstalled it off the Trainz store but it still is their. I know its not the one I installed from JR because it is listed as "packaged".

Try an EDBR but be sure to check faulty assets afterwards. Press CTRL while selecting Rebuild database.
Sorry for late response but even after 2 EDBRs, it still stays in content manager. When I select "Show in Explorer", the file comes up but then instantly disappears when I go into the editing folder.

This is a cache file that remains after DLC was once downloaded and then removed. You may find it in the packages folder inside the build folder.
It sometimes says payware not active.

Go into Content Manager.
Add in every column. You do this by right-clicking on the top of the columns and selecting each and every column heading one at a time.

Once you add the columns, sort them so that you have:

Type, Status, Kuid, Asset-name, etc. by clicking and dragging them into order. You can also resize them to fit your screen by clicking on the edges of each header - the cursor will change to double-arrow thing.

Clicking on the column heading you can sort them by that type.
Click on Status.

This will show such things as Installed from DLS, Third-party, Modified, and most importantly, this should say Payware not installed.

It shouldn't say anything else here unless you uninstalled the wrong DLC package.

It is easier to delete any DLC installed from the Trainz Store, directly from packages folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\N3V Games\trs22).
You will find your DLC number here under Complete DLC Listing spoiler : https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/Help:In-game_Downloading
In your case it seems to be this three:

SC355 - Amtrak P42DC - Phase V
SC356 - Amtrak P42DC - Phase III
SC357 - Amtrak P42DC - Phase IV

Open the packages folder, find SC355, SC356, SC357.
If these three numbers are packaged in three .tzarc archives with these numbers then delete these three archives.
If each item is located in several folders with same names ending in different letters, then delete all these folders.
Then go to the cache folder and delete all the contents except the performance.conf file.
Run DBR after that.

Sorry for late response but there were no references to that package at all in the folder. I deleted the cache and after the database repair, the locomotive is still their.

You didn't give exact information about which Trainz version and locomotive KUID you have, so I'll assume that you have TRS22 and this locomotive may be part of West from Denver Route.

<kuid2:45324:100285:3> AMTK P42DC ph V
<kuid2:565249:100993:9> Amtrak Superliner II Coach
<kuid2:565249:100992:9> Amtrak Superliner I Coach Baggage

If this is the case, then it cannot be deleted separately, only together with the route.

Very sorry for not giving you the kuid and yes, that is the kuid for the P42DC.
