Outdated content + route issues

Hello. It's been a few years since i last played Trainz. I got Trainz 12 recently, and installed it without issues

However, there's a lot of content that the game sais is outdated, and has to be downloaded. I looked at the list, and it's a whooping 600+ items, coming around at 26 gigs. Do i really have to download all of them? Also, if i do download them, will they replace the older items, or just create duplicates? I'm asking this for HDD space concerns.

Another question i have is about the inbuilt Southern China passenger route. At one point, the map shows the lines as disconnected, and all the engines are just dead, waiting at junctions. In roaming camera mode, the tracks seem top be there, so are the junctions. Is it a map bug? Or do i have to go to Surveyor and start manually connecting the tracks?

Only if you plan to play MultiPlayer.
The good news is: You can put the in-game downloaded on and you can still play the game at the same time plus they wont count against your 100mb/day daily download quote (if you dont have a FCT).

They will replace them for the usage in Trainz, but the old assets that are build-in will not be removed.
