Orient Express prototypical locomotives, stock & ROUTE suggestions????

After downloading edh6's gorgeous Gölsdorf 310 locomotive, I am curious to know what other locomotives, stock, and most importantly, ROUTES, that I can run the Orient Expresses on. Yes, I am aware of the older thread, which I am updating the sources and adding them over here so it's all together and easier to find for newer members.

I'll also be asking any prototype questions to help with accuracy. As for a list of what I already know I can run, here's what I found:

LOCOMOTIVES:

France
- ETAT 231 Class 4-6-2 (?)
- Loc NORD231 Noire (DLS, <kuid2:64577:90:2>)
-
Nord 120 2-4-0 (for early OE) ( https://pnotrainz.jimdofree.com/téléchargements/old-timer-nord/ )

Germany
- Bavarian S 3/6 4-6-2 ( https://www.trainz.de/download/file/595-bayrische-s3-6/ )
Austria
- Golsdorf Series 310 2-6-4 (DLS, or )
- Golsdorf Series 375.007 2-6-4 ( )

ROLLING STOCK:
- Venice-Simplon Orient Express (use Bambi's CIWL cars: https://web.archive.org/web/2017111...échargement/materiel-roulant/ciwl-et-pullman/ )
- 1920s era CIWL Orient Express, Amsterdam-Constantinople route (DLC)
-
FMA CIWL Cars, 1435mm. - ( https://www.spaintrainzrutas.com/descargas/descarga.php?dlid=638 )
-
Some of the first Orient Express cars from 1883 - ( https://pnotrainz.jimdofree.com/téléchargements/ciwlt/ )

ROUTES
-
Brennerbahn - Ferrovia del Brennero V1.0 (Innsbruck-St. Anton route? Set in 1980 - https://www.trainz.de/download/file/138-brennerbahn-ferrovia-del-brennero-v1-0/ )
-
Fictive Paris (Transilien L) - ( <kuid:966976:422326735> )

Now for the questions...
1.
What routes can I run the pre-existing OE stock on? The DLC stock is attributed to the Amsterdam to Constantinople section...
2. Did any of Edh6's other engines, such as the Paris-Orleans 4-4-2, run with any Orient Express services? What about the SNCF 4-8-2?

The list will be updated with any new information I come across. I will also provide resources I can find for photographs, information + rakes/consists/formations/arrangements of the Orient Express trains, whatever you call it.

Very nice rolling stock but no LOD. Can these be hosted elsewhere?

Thanks John
Not sure. With the original website gone however, I would assume those can be considered “vaporware” by now. Unless the original creator’s still around, I say have at it.

I believe the Est/SNCF 241As sometimes hauled the Orient Express on the Paris-Strasbourg leg but it would more often have been a smaller loco such as a Pacific. I don't think any of my other locos would have hauled the Orient Express, but they might have been used on other CIWL trains. One definite example is the Belgian Type 10s which were used on the Belgian legs of the Etoile du Nord and Edleweis trains.

The Wikipedia article for the Venice Simplon-Orient Express does give a description of the consist, but I wonder if it’s the same now as it has always been since the steam era?

The modern train has very little in common with the historic operation.

The best sites I've found for the historic Orient Express are the CIWL archive and French historian and "Train consultant" Clive Lamming.

Note most of Clive Lammings site is only available in French and it can be a bit difficult to search his archives, but it's well worth reading via the translation app of your choice. There are many more Orient Express and CIWL articles than I have linked to above.

It is rather complex...

@Forester1 It's actually a .7z file, which has been renamed to a .zip file. After changing the extension to .7z, the latest Windows Explorer should be able to correctly open the file (or use 7-zip).

Allow me to share some of my Orient Express consist variations in Trainz
Thank you for sharing these! Can you tell me where I might find the missing assets by Vendel and Bambi? I am also looking for one from Span Trainz Rutas:
<kuid:326643:103> for the Goldsdorf 310. Can you tell me what it is?

I've recently found out that the Simplon Orient Express was hauled for part of it's journey through Switzerland by an A 3/5 steam locomotive, which I have a model of on the DLS. They were only used briefly during 1919 on the Simplon Orient Express before the line was electrified, but had been used for many years on the predecessor Simplon Express (which only went as far as Venice).
