Operating Turntable at the Roundhouse

In the scenarios within Trainz 2006, the starting point is the roundtable. How does one operate it in an orderly fashion. I see mostly red arrows and ocansionally a green arrow but two red arrows is the common. When I mouse click over an arrow it sometimes turns sporadiaclly.

Two red arrows will show up if you hover the mouse arrow near the table and they show which direction the table will rotate if you click them. A clicked arrow will turn green and stay that way while the table is moving. The table will stop at the next possible position. Keep clicking until you get to the desired position.

Transfer tables work exactly the same way.

There's a brief description of how to operate turntables, with an illustration, in section 12.5.9 of the TRS2006 manual. Once mastered it usually works very well.
