Greetings, all!
Okay so, after hearing Mightyena telling me how he doesn't use passenger enabled stations, it has dawned on me that I also could benefit from not using them! I mean, you know, you can put animated people on the platform, having a drink and walking up and down impatiently (WHERE IS MY RUDDY TRAIN?!) - typical in England, eh? With a decent door command you could recreate a rather accurate station arrival and departure procedure, and this is my problem. The passenger door control rule is excellent for the AI because it governs which side the doors will open (even giving the option to open both at the same time) and then leave them open for an infinite amount of time, if required. My problem is that, for me, it can be quite awkward clicking into the command display and opening and closing the doors using the command, especially driving a tram where you'd have to do it roughly every two minutes or so.
My question is this: Is there a door control anywhere that can open and close the doors for any period of time but be kept permanently on the screen, in the corner for example, so that it takes just one button the open the doors and one button to close them?
I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give me
