Old railroading book of rules from C&O

Steam/Alco nut :D
I found out that my great grandma that died about 2 years ago had kept some of the stuff her dad had when he used to work on the old C&O railroad. Sense I am no expert on this stuff do you think this stuff is rare and worth keeping onto?

The value may not be high to a lot of people, but to C&O historians it may have some value.

Why would you want to sell them? They're part of your history too from your great grandfather.

My great grandfather was an electrical engineer that worked for Boston Edison. We have his electrical engineering books on our bookshelf and they're interesting to look at and read.

Well I wasn't plan on selling them I just was wondering if there worth anything. They are in really good condition inside. Surprised the condition and how long she kept onto them. I am hoping any C&O fans can tell me this are there any major differences between 1925 and 1958?

Hello Beattie,

What a find!

One way to find out if those two rule books have serious value would be to ask someone who deals in railroad paper. You might try RailfanDepot, sending them a picture of the covers and a couple of representative pages to verify their condition. Whatever dealers say, however, reflects what they are willing to pay to purchase for resale. What you might get from a C&O nut may be very different.
