Oh my god?!?! They have a new forum facelift? LOL

What a pleasant surprise, It's far easier on the eyes in a darker room, glad to see a helpdesk link too:wave:

Not only a new forum but look what else is back. Top right hand corner, post counts, looks like waffle is on the menu again.:p

Excellent!! always found the red version a bit sombre and overpowering. Well done you guys.:D

Damn!
Whose bright idea was that?

Auran really do like to balance things out, by doing something negative straight after doing something positive.

"Woo, look at me, I've got 12,784 posts on this forum. WooHoo!!!!"

:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:

Another thumbs up from me. well done Auran best yet.
Oh, and agree with the easy on the eyes comments.

Spiffy and Auran,

Great surprise when I logged on this AM , really looking good .

In the old Forum , it showed the dates of when the thread was started , this to me was a very handy feature .
Any chance it could be returned ?

Keep up the good work --- ,dave

Must be a lot like an article I read about auotmobile colors regarding their popularity and affect on moods. Black was listed as the most bought but said owners of them had bad temperments, red wasn't far behind. Blue and Green were mentioned as having healthier effects on a person's attitude.

Also I should note that for some time the forum was loading slow for me, I thought it was my computer. Today I first saw the new look and it loaded faster than the Classics version.

Looks like I am the only one who doesn't like the new look forum I think it is very insipid and prefer the old red pages:confused:

I like it. The coloring is way better. And many thank Spiffy for bringing back the post counts. To bad you didn't include the post counts and registered dates from before the crash.

If you think it's easier on the eyes, then you'll adore 09. Me, I've been monkeying with it for some time now, so I'm pretty much used to it. Really nice though.

Very nice new look here, for some reason it seems reminiscent of the older forums. What would also be nice to have back is the little gondola next to your name that said what versions of Trainz you had registered, and if you had creations on the DLS.

So much easier on the eyes.
Might have to do with age.
Makes TR2009 feel like a new begining.
Have been running the BETA for a week now it is performing everthing OK.
Will be a bit of a learning curve as every other version has been.
Keep up the fantastic work Brew crew.
Have been around since UTC and have had a great time with every curve Auran has thrown at me.
Keeps me young.
Regards Petr Fry.

Hmmm, you know... That sounds about right. The TRS04 forums were fairly dark coloured, and there was a fair bit of tension then. The TRS06 forums were a lot brighter, with the blue theme, and the forums, albeit with a bit of fighting, were actually a lot of fun. Then the TC1/2 forum came in, and there were heaps of problems again (then the crash, and still with the TC1/2 theme, and still a lot of tension). Now we have this new theme, and everyone already seems a little calmer, for the most part :)

Good move spiffy :)

Thanks Colhad, I had not noticed that :hehe: , now all we need are the little loco's like we had before :)

About time we had a link to the HelpDesk, I have been asking for this for some time.

Google search on the color blue and the effects on mood found this...

Blue represents peace, tranquility, calm, stability, harmony, unity, trust, truth, confidence, conservatism, security, cleanliness, order, loyalty, sky, water, cold, technology, and depression.

Blue can "slow the pulse rate, lower body temperature, and reduce appetite."

Blue is considered a business color because it reflects reliability.

In China, blue is associated with immortality.

In Colombia, blue is associated with soap.

For Hindus blue is the color of Krishna.

For the Jews, blue symbolizes holiness.

In the Middle East blue is a protective color.

Note: Blue is often considered to be the safest global color.

See that....Auran knew about this all along...

Have fun,
