OCS cars/ set?

Hello, im looking for and OCS set like the NS/KCS/CSX has. i have the a/b/b/a NS F7s from jointed rail, but im looking for the smooth sided cars to go with it? Does anyone know of any sets? Thanks in advance.

I actually had to go look "OCS" up to understand what you were asking... And I'm still lost as to why you'd compare those cars to anything KCS or CSX has (As neither of those roads has a Dedicated string of Passenger Cars for private use), and then include NS, which is the road that already owns and operates their own "Office Car Special" and the subject of your query in the first place...

That said, this game has a distinct lack of Passenger equipment. Best I can probably suggest would be to look out for the N&W cars that someone made to be pulled behind the available J-Class locos, since at least they're the same color. After that, if you want quality cars, about the only ones out there that even come close to the types being pulled behind the NS Exec Locos would K&L's Coaches, and, IIRC, Whitepass did the Pullman's that everyone and their uncle has reskinned? I think Tume did the MLW Set that everyone likes to bogart the Super Dome out of, but its in MLW Hiawatha Colors.... And of course if you cobble like this, you're never gonna get that deep mahagony redish color that N&W and now NS is known for....

Correction, both CSX and KCS has a dedicated fleet of passenger cars for company use. The bad thing is, there is no OCS cars for any of these roads on the DLS.

All class Is in the US have an OCS fleet. The only one (and their arguably not a class I) is Amtrak, which does have a few staff-only cars & will put together an OCS train out of those cars & revenue cars when needed. Even CP & CN have them.

I just wish there were some high quality cars, I have a few real low quality ones but that does no justice /: if anyone comes across some or knows of any projects give me a heads up!

lol, I like how the thread sat untouched for 6+ hours until I stumbled on to it, and then within 2 I get three responses to correct my mistake XD. Never fails that nothing on a forum garners more attention then being wrong about something, lol. All in good fun though I suppose.

That said, I know UP, BNSF, CN & CP all have their own sets. News to me to see KCS and CSX, but I suppose its no surprise. CSX having like 7 Platform Observation cars seems a bit superfluous, but whatever. I always wondered why there were CSX FP40s, but now I suppose thats been answered.

Still doesn't change the lack of higher quality Passenger equip in this game though >.>

Are you looking just for NS? JR also has that CSX F40PH shown in Amrail2000's clip. It's a Club Car item. I don't know if there are any cars for it that you can reskin, though.

I have checked high and low for OCS for CSX. Todate (and I've been searching for years) I have found none. At the start of this year I reskinned enough cars to make up the fleet. Now I just need to pull those cars off my old hard drive. But I do agree that we could use some high quality passenger cars. I'd make them, but after attempting 3D Max and Blender, I found it was best that I stick with route creation. Closing, I figure I may reskin some more cars with in the next couple of weeks. When I do, I'll get the creators permission to upload them. Now if they say no, then please understand that I won't be able to do so.

I have not released them as of today's date. With in the next couple of weeks I'll be reskining another batch on my current computer. When I get done, I'll contact the creator to get their permission. My primary goal will be the CSX cars as that is what I'll need for my CSX Florence Division route. I'll keep you updated. If no one objects, I may post screen shots here.

I did some NS coaches using the Zephyr coaches from Trainzitalia, they're payware but the creator responded to my posts on their forum saying it was ok to do them but it's been like over a year since I did them. I never got formal permission to upload them, though. They use a height modified version of whitepass's 2 axle truck made dark black. I made the 6 coaches from the steam excursion fleet, too. But I didn't do all of the NS cars, just the regular coaches and I reskinned tume's dome car into NS red.

My suggestion would be to take some screenshots, and don't post them here, but rather contact the folks at TrainzItalia and show them your work. Ask for permission to release them as free-ware (Expect to be denied), and then ask if theres any other way they could allow your skins on their models to be released.... Expect for them to say no flat out, but this line of inquiry could go anywhere, and you won't know until you ask. But if you want it done, you're gonna have to be more pro-active then just sending a PM or two. Could be the creator has lost contact with the folks at Trainz Italia, or any number of other issues, but again you won't know until you pursue it.

Well, MSTS has a nice set of NS OCS business cars but Trainz is lacking such a thing except what I have done and Peter's Trainz has a video showing NS coaches but without interiors. But nothing publicly available yet. My reskins I did over a year ago and the creator responded saying nice work, etc. but I didn't really ask to upload them. And Tume seemed to
like my reskins of the full dome into NS and Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern (regional railroad in northeastern PA) and he seemed to be ok with me uploading them but that was over two years ago.
