Oahu Railway & Land Co.

...The OR&L kept #60 till the very end (The first Mike) and stored her serviceable in the shops encase someone wanted her for a display but over time she was vandalized and became a major pain for the then terminal railway and was finally cut up and sold off to a scrapper just a few years before the Hawaiian Railway was formed.

that would explain the pictures on this website then: http://www.lifewastedchasingtrains.com/main.php?g2_itemId=1203 (just realized I didn't have the full sub-section open: but it's right near the top so I don't think anyone will miss the OR&L section...he says)

The fact 60 almost made it until the Hawaii Ry Society was formed hurts; she was such a handsome girl, and I'm sure you guys would have taken great care of her if you'd have had the chance. Now, if you don't mind I'm going to go run the virtual version of No. 60 to make myself feel better.

(oh, and good to see you back by the way. keep up the good work.)

Ya, It would have been nice to have her, but we are just as happy to have 85 in her place :) Atleast the 2 GE center cabs are still around, One works on the C&T and I cant remember where the other one is but they are both still being used. anywho, Im still working on laying track, but Ive also started some simple texture work and have started adding trees to the route as well (Such a pain in the A$$ :P)

Yes. I re-lettered and renumbered it. It was the closets Shay I could find that would be correct for the 2 OR&L Shay's.

Looks great, I would love to drove it, and hope one day maybe you will decide to release it, I love 3ft gauge and the Oahu Railway and Land 85, I have even written a book that takes place in the 1930s and the character is involved with the railway. Togog has a model of the 60 (2-8-2) and the 64 (4-6-0), which I have redone to 85 for running on my little Hawaiian routes, but none as glorious and prototypical as this. This route looks amazing. I have enjoyed looking through the pages of screen captures.

MASSIVE Thread Bump: Any news on this fabulous route? As we enter 2016, 1.5 years since the last post, I wondered what has become of this fabulous route, with these wonderful screenshots? I hope this has not turned to vapourware.
