Also, who is building the Auckland routes?
Cheers, Fender :)

Hi there Fender,

I was given a DEM of Auckland and some UTM tiles but haven't had time to work on it recently and i need more UTM's to continue.
Starting to come together though. :D

That's great, Cam and good to see we do have at least one Auckland Trainzer. My knowledge of Auckland is very limited, I do recall going to the Auckland railway station many years ago. I had a look on Google Earth, could not locate the old railway station, but did locat Britomart. Does Britomart replace the old station perhaps? How do the trains depart from Britomart ? ( curious).
Cheers, Fender :)

AMP Update. These models become "alive" once texturing begins. The Britomart Beast !

Fender, the old station and platforms are still there. The old station is now hotels. Only platform 4 remains as the strand station for thinks like excursion trains. Right by the old stations is a curve that leads into a 1km tunnel into Britomart station.
Models look amazing! Looking foward to driving these on my lines!!!!
cheers jeran :)

Jeranthesteamengine has it pretty much summed up. It's a 5 track terminus underground. Looks quite fancy but the DC's and DFT's smoke it up a bit in there. And they depart slowly. 1 track in and another track out for 5 platforms.

uploading a stripped version of Christchurch to the DLS, no rolling stock or UTM tiles and with partial scenery done. Should be available soon.

This is not a finished work but is released for you to do with as you wish, all track is laid for the areas I was interested in, BE WARNED very large around 1000 baseboards.

Teasers,

Gordon

Hi Fender,

The Units are looking Great!
By any chance could these please be available in TRS2006, without the TRS2010 features ?
I cant use TRS2010 as it has decided to die on me and wont let me re-install so, TRS2006 will only work.
Also would these units be numberable (if thats a word)?

Cheers,

007bart007, have you tryd changing the display settings for 2010? Try changing them and see what happens

Christchurch NZ, now live on the DLS
There is a missing dependency of mine which does not exist, don't know what happened there should still work.

Reply to 007Bart,

Hi Bart,
These new trains are a small way off yet, but you may be able to open edit and backdate the Trainz-build to 2.5 - no guarantees though. The models will have "running numbers".I would suggest that if your version of TRS2010 has become unusable, then a new boxed TRS2010 is still available from the online store for only $9.90 plus postage - this would be the better way to go, then you can enjoy all the features.
Cheers,
Fender :)

If anyones interested i have a sound recording of a AM units horn. I can't figure out how to make it into a Kuid horn thingie..... If anyone wants it, email me.
Cheers Jeran :D

What Station Type?

Hi - I am new to trainz but have been following this thread for a while now. Anyway i just want to know where you get the Wellington type Station from (By this i mean stations like NaeNae and Featherston) If you could include the platform as well that would be deeply appreciated. I Have TS12 If your wondering.
Thanks

Hi Boeing,

Welcome to the forums.

The Download Station (DLS) is the easiest place to find these stations. Open up Content Manager, then do a search for some of the following keywords (Asterisk '*' means that the platform is included):

NZ Melling Station*
NZ Epuni Station*
NZ Taita Station*
NZ Wellington Station*

Otherwise there are more generic NZR Class A, B and Class 5 stations available for download - you will need to provide a separate platform for those. There are some NZR platforms available for download but sometimes it's better to experiment with what you can find on there.

Thanks Dude

Thanks for the knowledge. Will be accessing the DLS tonight.

Many Thanks

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help. Have downloaded nzld's Christchurch, however a heap of missing dependencies. When I access the DLS from the game itself, I can view a list of dependencies, and in the past have been able to download missing ones by right clicking and selecting 'download'. I can no longer do this, it searches for the items, the just says complete, doesn't download. The only other way I can download the dependencies is by search for each one separately on the web based DLS, which would take a long long time.
Has anyone else had a similar experience, or know how to fix this? Using the Mac version. Any help appreciated.
J
