NYCTA! pics!

Sorry, I didn't mean it to come off like that. You said that they were supposed to be ads (wtf?), which in addition to the actual kind graffiti on the on the train gave me a sort of negative vibe about you.

I'm just a bit (or maybe really) nit-picky about subway content, and that in addition to your "Brooklyn Bridge City Hall Loop," which in no way even closely resembled the Brooklyn Bridge station, which I pass through every day during my commute, made me feel that way.

That's fine. Everything cannot be prototypical, just the way you like it. As a content developer for the NYCTA currently working on a HUGE super pack of highly detailed objects, I can say that there is only so much we can do to replicate the system. We're always going to have nitpickers, so your apology is accepted but take notice: generally on the forums, being a nitpicker is the quickest way to earn a bad reputation on the boards---one that is really hard to shake off. Besides, Fooly was only using subway content available to him, which at this moment is limited for the time being. So, as a nitpicker, you'll either get told to be quiet, or go and make the content yourself.

Did a little change to the r143-

Hey

How did you change the rollsign to a (6)?
Fooly,
first, just a tip (as in you don't have to see this as a nag), when you quote something you can delete the links to the pictures, just to save forum space, although I don't mind as much as others. And second aceljalde said it exactly as i did it. I literally copied and pasted different sections of lettering in the original rollsign (since google images is once again awful at showing the write result, although it's not to say it isn't a good search engine). I used paint. Which is probably the most basic built in image editing software on any computer (am i right? i have no clue...). I wish you luck with your trainz creating quests,
Eric :)
(P.S. Acelejalde don't feel as though you ought to rush with the nycta content (although if you want to be done with them, we'll appreciate whatever you got done), you're doing an absolutely fantastic job. I'm always amazed by everything we in the trainz community comes up with). And i'm sorry to say that I saw the most spectacular angle of 2 NYCTA depots when i was flying back to laguardia, but couldn't use a camera :( )

Agreed. Just take it easy dude. There is still plenty of time to release something...

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement guys. I was going to do dual-level stations (CPW/West 4th), but then I decided against it. Just easier to lay the station spline and raise it up.

Oh, and the stations are finished, I just had to retexture them using new beams/walls that BStyles sent me before he left on Hiatus. I know it isn't prototypical, but he included black and purple beams in his set, which of course I used.

Oh, and wait til you see Lex/63rd. I am proud :hehe:

NYCTA Subway Stations COMPLETED!

Huge milestone everyone--the NYCTA Subway Station pack has officially been completed! After several long months and testing everything out, they are done!!!! I had to go back and change some things, as well as re-texture with some new beams that BStyles gave me before his hiatus. Pictures are below, but one HUGE change---all of the stations except the 6 track models will be splines--with the end pieces already included. This means, all you have to do is drag to the appropriate length and that's it! The station is fully made, using the "bridge" tag and having the end pieces be the "initiator" and "terminator". The reason this doesn't work in the 6T models is that you cannot do splines with more than 5 tracks in TS2010 (only in TS12 so far). So, for DeKalb, 135th, Hoyt, and/or whatever your 6T subway heart desires, it's still object end pieces and splines. So without further delay....

Enjoy! No definite release date yet--I have to see how trainz handles the frames, they all should be relatively low poly.

Next up are the Williamsburg & Manhattan Bridges! :D

P.S. Just realized the 3T local station picture is not uploaded. I'll get on that later!

Or maybe some things for Grand Central terminal and Penn Station. That looks very good. Thanks for this great quality NYCTA content. Can't wait to use it.:)

Guys should The 42 St Shuttle Have Access to the (4) Or (2) Line?

If you're going to start a question thread, head over to the NYC Transit Forums, that's the best place for that question, not here. And IIRC, the 42 St shuttle has access to both lines: The 7th Av line from Track 4 @ Times Sq, and the Lex from Track 1 east of Grand Central

I'm not in New York very often, but if you provided some pictures and a short description of what you wanted, I could make it happen!

nice! now we need to convince you to make some CTA stuff :D

peter

Never been to Chicago, do want to go. But, same response as above. I'm open to new avenues of content creation!

Thanks again for the kind words!

Ok, that sounds great. I'll get you some pics soon. Also, do you know how to make station signs. This is for my major project, which will have most of the tri state area including the NYCTA and some commuter railroads.
