NYCTA! pics!

Hi All,

I didn't want to start a new thread just ask this ---

so far my research has come up empty -- looking for NYCTA subway or elevated speedsigns, etc ... I will make them to accmpmany this HUGE KIT:

Hopefully someone can help me out!
Thanks
Ish

PS. few changes has taken place -- the station beneath Jeff stuff has been textured differently. Also, many utilities to add to the kid have made, like pillars, splines etc to overcome any obstacles -- trying my best to make the kit very very very flexible to fit all needs --

PSS I've started experimenting, using AJ invisible stations, etc ... the layout is coming out cool -- I will upload a layout without scenery for all to pus their imaginations with it, etc!
I don't ever recall seeing speedsigns on above or below ground lines.

Just around the time I thought about what elevated stuff is out there, you go and make this.:hehe: Looking forward to it. Will the entire kit be in one download somewhere or all of it just on DLS?

Hi Ish,

What perfect timing! After watching a clip of the old 3rd Avenue Elevated Line in action on Youtube I decided to add a short section of EL to my West Side Harbour Rail Road layout.

This will be perfect for that.

Thank you very much.

Chris

Hello Christ,

The kit is not quite there, yet. I'm working on a layout, just as demo to the pieces, but I'm discovering that more pieces are needed, so in other words, as I constructed the layout, I go along and make any pieces to make the job easier ... thus far a total of 146 pieces last time I checked. It'll still be a while, so don't sleep any sleep quite yet, please:wave:

I like being honest, you good folks don't wait around for this! When it hits the DLS like a storm, LOL, ... I'll post on this thread, and I'll be illustrating the items, along with the route, on my own thread, as well!!

Glad you like what you see!!:)

Take care
Ish

Hello SN,

Raised in NYC, the south Bronx (crazy town, LOL) I've taken the sub and El many times... I know there's a speed limited, etc but I can't recall. i do remembering seeing numbers as the train travels, etc but not sure what it pertain. I'll do some more research on the net to see if anything comes up!

All 140+ items will be at the DLS ... the only site allowed anyone to host my stuff, is the IBTZ community forum, when I built stuff exclusive fro my dear friend Zatovisualworks, who knows the suite ... other than that, every goes to the DLS -- It just makes it easier for route creators and user to get all necessary items needed for layouts!:)

Take care
Ish

Well, hello all...

Slowly but surely, I'm creating my layout -- it'll be without scenery, just to display my new kit, etc. Also, it'll give those an opportunity to use these blank boards and built their own set-up ... for now enjoy!

Note*Still creating pieces as I create the layout, as I am discovering that there are items needed to finish certain sections.

QUESTION

Hello All,

I've completed the red line (screen shots within 24hr), and now I am working on the yards ... However, I've posted this already, but just in case any NYCTA fan missed it, here it goes:

Has anyone come across a diagram of any NYCTA YARD?

Now, just a few teasers on the blue line, lol

It's me again ... hey all!!

Well, my Traction Layout is coming along just fine -- The Red Line is done!! Hey, did I mention that this is a custom map, so when I upload the layout to the DLS you can simply add your own scenery!

Anyhow, when I upload I will open a new thread detailing the contents and the route, etc ... However, for now, I will post here til that's done ... it might be a while since there are over 200 pieces of contents that needs to be tested and package

During the week screen shot of the Blue line

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for the kind words -- it's both, the brick wall elevated with tracks, and without tracks ... In fact, the brick wall items are 19 pieces -from 1-5 tracks elevated brick wall to just the brick wall along (1-5tks) ... Also, for those that enjoy placing track beneath street level, this brick wall will drop down, since the tracks will be surrounded by cements, etc ... it's kind of scary now because this kit has grown to King Kong proportions, LOL ... way to many pieces!! :udrool:

I think the only thought in the Drivers mind is "Oops"

My station (as outdated as it is) looks pretty good with Grass around it
