NYCTA! pics!

I really don't think the station types matter. As long as you have a exceptional station piece that is passenger enabled, that's all that matters.

Nice subway shots. I wonder if any of you guys might be interested in the Chicago CTA once this is finished. I see the CTA every day.

Hello Matt ...

Check out sniper297, if you haven't ready -- He also did a Chicago layout --

Many years ago I tried to do the Chicago lines, etc ... my skills weren't as keen as they are today, and this is what I came up with, screenshot below:
(These items sit somewhere in my external hard drives -- I will not visit them to be honest with everyone, because when I am done with NYCTA (btw, centertrack coming too to make 3 tracks tunnel) I am moving on to other projects! :hehe:
(If you guys want to know what's up in the future check my blog here, no need to post, but this is where I will post items info when they land at the DLS, subscribing is enough to get notification of what's happening, ex, item been uploaded -- Of course, such info will be post here to since this the NYCTA thread, for those NYCTA items)

Anyhow, enough of that: -- Chicago pieces:

Just a question - will this nice work get 3rd rail?

Hi :wave:

The contents above is lost in my external hard drives, like I said in my comments! However, to answer your question yes, because it's using Magic's 3rd track ... In fact, by changing the track kuids any track can be embedded! --- Just creating a few NYCTA pieces, and then moving on ... maybe someday, since it's so time consuming and overwhelming the countless of pieces that need to be updated for T12 and TANE!

Kind Regards
Ish

The primary difference among the three types of stations is platform lengths.* IRT stations have platforms that are 525 feet long; BMT platforms are 615 feet long, and IND platforms are the longest some measuring 660 feet.

Good Evening All --

Unless someone suggest the colors for the interactive stations will be as follow!

IRT = RED
BMT = ORANGE
IND = BLUE

These are the transparency colors that will determine the length of the station, which TF provide in his quote!

Ish

Could you give us a sample of what these stations will look like before we determine the colors?

-A :wave:

Hey -A-

Look at post # #2812

These are interactive stations, the color refer to the transparency, that refers to the length, so in other words, a red transparency texture means that interactive station is to be use only for IRT's, because the length of it is 525 feet as TF said, where as an orange for the BMT is longer!

I pick these colors because I lived in the South Bronx as a child, and I use take the red bird --- Then lower Eastside, taken the F line, which was always orange, at least, the signs where, LOL

BTW, to ALL -- Magic never made a station with a single track, however, I made a centertrack with the tunnel, pillars, and roof to merge with his tunnel contents, so going to use his textures, and make a single track station, etc ... it will not be a duplicate, but it will blend in nicely with his contents!

***Note -- You're seeing screenshots here and there, but the contents is raw, not completed at all just yet! -- Gonna take a bit longer then I thought!

Hello Everyone --

We're getting there, but not quite yet -- 3T tunnel to match Magic's kits, with a spline tunnel tor crossing tracks! Still work to od --- interactive IRT stations are done, but not the others! -- Taken my time since I got my traction tram layout to work on each day, plus making contents for it as well, however, interested, you can view videos here: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/entr...ELECTIVE-ROUTES-quot-BLOG&bt=4355#comment4355 -- Still, not to worry since these items are made and will be coming soon ... I like to upload complete packages, and not in portions!

Anyhow, enjoy the screenshot!

Good Morning NYCTA Fans --

I've received an email from N3V that half of my X-Elevated items are faulty under the current standard, so I just now implemented the new changes into one of the bridges, which will now be found under track category, and it worked smoothly ... the items will fall under 3.7!

Since I am doing these repairs a second version will be uploaded using Magic's texture so it'll blend in perfectly with his contents ...Note -- Have you travel to Brooklyn in the subway, mostly the trestles are concrete, etc so that's where Mafic textures come in handy ... And, note ... these items will always have an "X" ... which means that it's not an inch by inch representation of the real thing, but it's close enough, and when these items are place in surveyor, surrounded by the right-type of environment it will hold up butter!

On other fronts, interactive stations are still being worked on, no rush on that, plus some more ideas to expand on Magic's contents ...

Lastly, people have asked me why not do items to match current items that available from other creators, and my reason is this: Those creators are here and now, and they understand their own contents better than anyone else, thus they can create anything they like to expand on their own contents, however, I have not seen Magic in ages, and it's a shame there isn't stuff made to, in a way honor what he has done! After all, Magic contents dedicated to NYCAT was the first of it's kind that really represented NYCTA ... Although I am not on his level, because I choose to move on, instead of creating very detail contents at least I do what I can before moving on .... Hopefully the interactive stations dedicated to his content can help you guys have fun, because after all we are here to have fun! --

Everyone have a good day!

The items will fall under 3.7? I don't think it's very good for elevated railway pieces to fall. :hehe:

I'm sorry for that pun.
It's great that you're expanding on this content.

Good Afternoon Everyone --

Right now at the DLS -- I just copy / paste from my email --
Icons for driver -- So, if you are the driver the F train, use Icon as the driver instead of a person's face! :hehe::wave: !!!

Have Fun --
