NYC subway Route

Damn! Jeff is getting some serious business done! As soon as I figure out this initiator/terminator tag problem for my stations, I will start in Midtown and work my way down and up

Brighton Beach Route (B and Q) -completed.
Culver Route (F and G) from Stillwell Avenue to Ditmas Avenue.
Sea Beach Route (N) - completed.
West End Route (D) - completed.
4th Avenue Route (D, N, and R) - completed.
BMT Broadway Route (N, Q, and R) - completed.
BMT Nassau Street Route (J, M, and Z) - completed.
BMT Astoria Route (N) - completed.
IRT Flushing Route (7) from Times Square to 52nd Street.
Manhattan Bridge is done.

I don't know when the new NYCTA subway system will be done and be ready to be released. I had a lot of work creating the new NYCTA subway system for TS12. I am usually busy creating the new NYCTA subway system at nights on weekdays and all day on weekends.

You're making a lot of progress Jeff! That's awesome! I finally figured out how to use the initiator/terminator tags in Trainz, and am making my subway stations in the "bridge" kind, with both the start and end pieces incorporated into the spline. Once I test them, work should begin tomorrow. You're working from the south BMT upwards, I'm starting in Midtown and out =)

Again---a screenshot or two would be fantastic!

@Ish: nice to see you again! :hehe:

How in the whole world can I create complex elevated track structures like those at Broadway Junction?

I use Bstyles' vintage and updated el track packs. If you need the cdp, send me a PM. My internet is down right now, hence I am on my phone. When things get fixed, I will gladly send it to you.

BMT Myrtle Route (M) - almost completed.
BMT Jamaica Route (J and Z) from Marcy Ave to Myrtle Ave.
Manhattan Bridge is done.
Williamsburg Bridge is done.

Problem: Myrtle Ave station on Jamaica and Myrtle Routes. The www.nycsubway.org website said that upper level has no tracks. There was a switch tower on the upper level but it is now abandoned. I think that the abandoned station platform is still there.

When you gave Ish6 permission to re-skin your stations, instead of making them trackside objects, he made them free stand-alone objects. What I would do is search him on the DLS and put in "X-" into the name in CM and ALL of his stuff should show up. Download it all, and use his stations and trackless trestles to create the illusion of the abandoned upper level and the trackways with no rails. When I was working on the Jamaica El (before I decided to reconstruct it using my own assets), I was using his and yours, and that was my solution for the Myrtle Av problem. Unfortunately, the route has long since been deleted so I cannot provide pictures. If you need any help, please let me know.

P.S. Stations are working fine with a few needing minor tweaks--but when they are transferred over to the desktop, everything stops working. So I'm thinking either corrupted flash drive, or something. Will keep everyone posted.

How high are both bridges at the following locations:

Brooklyn-end, Manhattan-end, and highest point, in the middle of the East River? I am making bridge splines at the moment, and would like to know those heights.

I will release pictures once the models are done and in game.

NYCTA Subway Stations COMPLETED!

Huge milestone everyone--the NYCTA Subway Station pack has officially been completed! After several long months and testing everything out, they are done!!!! I had to go back and change some things, as well as re-texture with some new beams that BStyles gave me before his hiatus. Pictures are below, but one HUGE change---all of the stations except the 6 track models will be splines--with the end pieces already included. This means, all you have to do is drag to the appropriate length and that's it! The station is fully made, using the "bridge" tag and having the end pieces be the "initiator" and "terminator". The reason this doesn't work in the 6T models is that you cannot do splines with more than 5 tracks in TS2010 (only in TS12 so far). So, for DeKalb, 135th, Hoyt, and/or whatever your 6T subway heart desires, it's still object end pieces and splines. So without further delay....

Enjoy! No definite release date yet--I have to see how trainz handles the frames, they all should be relatively low poly.

Next up are the Williamsburg & Manhattan Bridges! :D

P.S. Just realized the 3T local station picture is not uploaded. I'll get on that later!

BMT Brighton Beach Route (B and Q) - completed.
IND Culver Route (F and G) from Stillwell Avenue to Ditmas Avenue.
BMT Sea Beach Route (N) - completed.
BMT West End Route (D) - completed.
BMT 4th Avenue Route (D, N, and R) - completed.
BMT Broadway Route (N, Q, and R) - completed.
BMT Nassau Street Route (J, M, and Z) - completed.
BMT Astoria Route (N) - completed.
IRT Flushing Route (7) - completed.
BMT Myrtle Route (M) - completed except for upper level of Myrtle Ave station.
BMT Jamaica Route (J and Z) from Marcy Ave to 121st Street.
BMT Canarsie Route (L) from 8th Avenue to Bushwick Avenue.
Manhattan Bridge is done.
Williamsburg Bridge is done.

Broadway Junction is the hardest part for me to create. From Altantic Avenue, the "L" trains goes up and over Jamaica Route, stopping at Broadway Junction before going into the subway and stops at Bushwick Avenue. Also, there are tracks from Canarsie and Jamaica routes to East New York Yard.
