Release of Subway Stations

I haven't set a definite release date yet. I am debating re-doing some of the stations, only because right now they are in 10m increments, which gets a little iffy once it comes to curved stations (as I learned with Union Square). I'm debating doing this only because I LOVE the way the stations look on my route, yet I don't want nitpickers to get on my case about some of the bendy issues. So I might trim them down to 5m each, but that is a ****-ton of work, so I'm not sure yet. We shall see.

Plus, new overhead signals are required as they were adjusted to make way for the platform lights, which weren't in my original stations.

Stay tuned!

The 53rd Street Tunnel "route" drove me crazy! I couldn't create this route in TS12 exactly the same way that the real-life route was built.

can this route be used in trainz 09
the latter route by jeffmoriss is going to be for 2012 only (this is because you can have six track in routes only in that version i'm afraid). But i'm sure it'll work in the next version of trainz (which i plan to get) and i'm sure you can remove a few assets and just fill in teh gaps with single tracks....right jeffmoriss?
Anyway, it looks like your doing an excellent job. Good luck with 53rd street tunnel!
Eric :)

AMAZING O>O

Very true. But it seems your making good progress! And you had to start from scratch in regards with the tracks right? I'm very Impressed and I wish you luck with both projects

No, actually! I was thinking about starting over, but then I figured, why put myself through all of that--my original route (which I am using) was fine! So, I just went in, uploaded it, and replaced all of the stations. Now, here and there, certain things had to be re-done like tunnel approaches for certain stations, crossovers, interlockings, so while it wasn't an easy job replacing things, it wasn't a complete re-build. Now, the Lenox & Lexington lines are new--they weren't in the original file. So, everything you see in future updates will be new from here on out. Thanks again for your encouragement!

Brooklyn IRT

After teasing an entrance into the Bronx, I decided to focus on the Brooklyn IRT for a little while. The section between Bergen Street & Eastern Pkwy was by far one of the most difficult I ever had to do--with the tracks rising as they go southbound under Flatbush Avenue. The diagrams I used to help me are in the following links:

IRT Brooklyn 1
IRT Brooklyn 2

So now, here are some shots between Bergen St & Eastern Pkwy/Brooklyn Museum, as well as the Brighton tunnels.

Bergen St (2)(3)

Brighton line stays underneath Flatbush Av, IRT diverges to Eastern Pkwy

The next portion will be the entire 4 Av Subway to 95 St.

Enjoy!

acelejalde, I am working on the IND subway routes now. The connections between IND 8th Avenue Route and 53rd Street Tunnel drove me crazy. The connections between IND Culver Route and IND Fulton Street Route drove me crazy. It looks like you're doing a much better job building the NYC subway system than me. Do you know the radius of curved tracks? IRT has tighter curved tracks than BMT and IND.
